I like how Adam seems a little more lowkey in these episodes compared to the ones in the USA, something I imagine the British people he met would appreciate.

So scripted. The "chase car" would've been noticed, especially when they pull up right across the street while filming (not a handheld camera, big bloody production camera on someones shoulder). The call from the client immediately after the driver left sounded scripted/fake. As for the "chef", he could've easily ordered a bag of sugar and paid for it when it arrived. I used to do similar things when I was a kitchen manager.
