M Night. Shyamalan does it again lol. Brillant Review my friend. It's weird how good he is at getting us back into the theater, even though we know it will be 'okay'.
I was really looking forward to this. Like Abigail, the trailer just gives away the movie. I've also heard other reviews complain that this movie was more of a way for M Knight to promote his daughter's music. I'm surprised to hear you didn't enjoy Split though
I’ve only seen Split in the theater once so my opinion may have changed. Yeah I’ve seen that as well about promoting the music. I just wish there was a little more mystery.
This movie was a lot of fun. A pretty good M. Night movie that had more positives than negatives. Josh Hartnett was fantastic. The "twist" of the real trap was decent. Overall, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Great review.
Was going to see it this past weekend but after seeing the not very good reviews I decided to wait and go see Deadpool & Wolverine again. I'll catch it eventually. Ever since M. Night crushed me with Avatar The Last Airbender I have never been able to go into his movies without doubt. Its a shame because he has some greats ... my favorites are Unbreakable and Signs.
Marissa and I enjoyed the film but I think the moment they left the stadium, the movie started to go downhill. From that point it was suuuuuper up and down lol
Yeah after the concert the film falls apart for me. There's no shot this killer would let some random mess it up. Especially given that he's holding a metaphorical gun. I was still pretty entertained. Great review!
Solid review, this is releasing in Ireland this weekend and I'm planning to check it out. I have heard mixed things about it alright but I am hoping to enjoy it
Even being a fan, with the only film of his I don't like being Lady In The Water (horrid). Everything I've read/heard about this one from regular film fans = I really think there's finally gonna be another, because I'm just not down with this one at all, especially being PG-13 with this storyline. So, I'll probably wait for the 5 dollar bin for this one.
I actually liked this movie, mainly because of the ending. Definitely not a horror movie and nothing like I expected it to be, a little slow and redundant but I think it was a great way to show abuse through a child’s point of view without it being triggering for anyone who’s experienced living with an abuser. I’d say worth a watch if looking for something psychological.
I'm pretty sure I have the worst opinion and preference on the internet when it comes to M Night's films Like: Old, The Visit, Trap. Meh: Village, Knock at Cabin, Devil. Hate: Sixth Sense, Split, Lady in the Water
I need to see The Sixth Sense. I never have. Devil he technically just wrote the story but, I liked it, The visit my son loves. There is such a vast opinions on his movies.
@@RavensOsFan89 ya I actually still find the visit creepy and fun, idk why. Old the ending sold me on, as ridiculous as it is. The sixth sense id be interested in your opinion given that I agree on what you said about knock at the cabin. My family and I almost fell asleep watching that one. Sixth Sense 1. the twist is beyond predictable I thought, it baffles me how no one saw it coming years ago 2. It does not hold up AT ALL once you know the twist so it just didn't work for me for those reasons
Was that movie Split was with Professor X with the different personalities. I know his name is James McAvoy but I'm used to calling him Professor X. That was good movie.
Something just popped up in my head. When Cooper was smiling at one scene, it remind me of that new movie Smile 2 coming out soon. Sinister smile. You say Oh no, another M. Night film. You are right. Another typical M. Night film and it was okay. I was listening to her music the other day and it was ok. I think she has like 10 to 12 music and some are ok and other was meh. Started off boring, the middle part was pretty good and the end fall flat.

It's definitely not a horror movie to me. It's a thriller and a bad one. Too many conveniences and superman escapes. Was solid at music concert, but fell off a cliff when they left the concert.
I'm a big fan of Split myself. But yeah Trap was entertaining. You're completely right about that suspension of disbelief being challenged. I had to make a choice to lean into it lol. I can definitely see why this movie is divisive among movie goers.
I checked out with this at the trailer and the PG-13 rating which was put in to protect M. Night's daughter's musical career and they were aiming for the Blumhouse type of horror fan.
Trivia comment for you whilst watching. Have Cheetah, Will View, commented on Superman IV: Quest for Peace. That was actually shot at my school, when I was a pupil there, and it was of course super exciting for us during filming. Christopher Reeve, 'flying' with the aid of a crane and wires etc. I grew up in Milton Keynes, a UK 'new' city that was deemed to be quite futuristic looking, and so worked for the Superman movie.
Yeah that theater I went to nobody goes there. I have no idea how it stays open tbh. I only went there because they were the only theater with an early showtime. All the other ones were like 9 at night during the week.
Appreciate the shout out. Sorry this one didn't work out. Sounds like trailer was a bit deceptive in it's tone, but I'll agree with the others here that Kit does very well in Game of Thrones.
@RavensOsFan89 Don't get me wrong. It's not all good, but the bad is worth watching for the overwhelming amount of good. I do believe you have to make a conscious effort to not allow bad experience to void the good.
@@RavensOsFan89 I'm Irish and grew up with a good amount of Irish tales and music. If I get around to seeing it I'll definitely come back and let ya know
Totally agree on the side plots. I was having so much fun I didn't really mind lol. I also looked up their music and apparently they're doing a US tour in the fall!
First I thought this was a remake of the stellar 80's classic horror film of the same name. Haven't hear much hype or good things about it so far. So it's probably no very good since it seems to be panned across the board, and I'm not one to put too much stock in critical attacks, but the audience seems to dislike it pretty much as well. Doesn't sound like I would be to redeemed even in my forgiving eyes lol.
I mean if you’re ok to watch a story about abuse with the were werewolf appearing the last 20 mins it may be ok for you but, otherwise it’s not too good. Haven’t seen the other one with the same title
it would have been a better for a show maybe that's a situable platform. unfortunately was not a great experience with 1/5. funny enough haven't seen much of his films or shows since got and eternals. great review
How are you doing today and how your saturday? When I thought of the title, it reminded me of a particular video game I saw someone played. Completely different from the movie but this was an pass for me. Out of all of the werewolf movies you seen, which ones did you like? I would go back as far as American WereWolf in London, and Underworld was okay.
