Yes, I do have puppy, now 5 months old female JRT, she is full of energy and it is first time I have small dog, always had Dobermanns, but with age I have small JRT, it is completely different dog, stasting training with her, what a challenge, luckily I am on fam, so she has plenty of space to run, she loves it, but now started to bark , something I am not use to much, and had mind of her own, very challenging training, and I love her so much, gives me energy and keeps me going, my lovely Molly.
Vizsla. Magyar Vizsla. 'zs' never pronounced as 'z'!!! In words meaSUre, treasure, leasure you pronounce 'zs'. If you have this fantastic dog, please learn how to pronounce it correctly! Thanks.
So, having a creature who loves you so much all they want is to play with you and share joy all day is a bad thing? I'm betting your pup is under 18 months old. That you don't own a Frisbee or a tennis ball thrower. Wanting your Vizsla to become a couch potato before age 2 is just silly. If you want your rusty baby to calm down cuddle them.
Have I mentioned how much I dislike "robots"; reading with mispronounced words and a lack of emotion behind the video are just the start. Automatic Downvote and I stop watching.
We had and hunted five and without doubt the most intelligent dogs we have owned although a chocy lab was by far the best dog I have ever owned in the lasr 65yrs.
They can be good with babies and young children. I got my first Vizsla when he was 8 weeks old. My grand daughter was born a week later and lived with me until she was 4 years old. They were best friends. Did everything together. Eat, sleep, play. He was always very gentle with her. As a baby crawling on the floor she could take a bone right out of his mouth. And when he and my other dog would play fight/roughhouse in the living room she could be toddling right through the middle of that tornado and they'd never touch her. And honestly we never really trained him to be gentle with her. It was like instinct, like he just knew.
My 2.5 yo V gets around 3 hours outside everyday. We do around 15min of command drills most days. At home I give her lots of puzzle toys for mental stimulation.
You cannot provide sufficient enrichment and care for an animal such as this. Do not EVER keep a galago as a pet. You are supporting wild poaching and the destruction of wild populations and habitats. They also urinate all over their hands and feet to mark their territory when they travel around. You do not want this animal as a pet.
First 2 years I thought I couldn't live with mine. Very demanding with regards to activity and play. If you want peace and quiet don't get a vizsla. Around age 2 she slowed a bit but still needs 2 hours of high energy activity a day or she will drive me nut in many ways.
