I started with a hardback trilogy following a young captain Carrot, then darted from book to book in whatever order was available from the library. Amazing magical books of fantasy fiction and facts.
Man, I love this theme! Plus this show had Bruce Campbell as a cowboy? Man, I wish I had known about this show sooner! Now I gotta track down a copy to watch in full!
Bittersweet is right! Every time I have watched this video has brought both tears and smiles. Realizing that Korra is gone and Asami is a member of the White Lotus searching for the next Avatar, what an emotional punch. Seeing the boy holding Korra's betrothal necklace and the flashback to Korra receiving it from Asami, real tears. The smile the boy gives Asami, and Asami seeing Korra smiling the same goofy smile, more tears but also a smile! Side note, anyone else see a resemblance to Korra's smile to the way Kyoshi's smile to Rangi is described in the Kyoshi novels and how it is depicted in fanart? Afterall, the Avavtar always gets the girl!
"Why do things have to be the way they are?" Answer? They don't. Not anymore. "God created humans in thier own image" is a common theological thought, although it can be stated in many ways. Does that not mean we are endowed with their abilities? The ability to change what is? The collective power of human conscious is so great that together we can change anything. All that's lacking is humans finding a common goal for the future, and mutual love for each other. If we can achieve that our values will align naturally. The weight of the world isn't very heavy if we all lift together. Peace.
Maybe it's just me, but I swear Amos Mouse sounds quite a lot like Winnie the Pooh (aka Sterling Holloway), and Thomas Jefferson sounds quite a lot like George Darling and Captain Hook (aka Hans Conreid) from Walt Disney's "Peter Pan." Was that Sterling Holloway voicing Amos Mouse and Hans Conreid voicing Thomas Jefferson?
Lord Tarly's was actually one of the best. He spoke with the most powerful conviction and told the backstory of Sam's house, which also sheds light on Sam's rise to greatness.
My mother was the milkmaiden whose belly I was squirted into by lord frey. Then 9 months later I was squirted out by her onto a bale of hay as she went into labour in the family farm pig pen whilst she was mucking out the pig pen. That is my origin story for my character in bannerlord. They named me Squirtilda, after my manner of birthing.
Amos does like Jaq and a few other mice from Cinderella which, funnily enough, released just three years before Ben and Me. And also, not to mention at 1:49-2:06, reuses the same Lucifer the Cat animation.
Just a wonderful return to my youth ... This was one of my favorite Rain Day Movies shown at Recess... Thanks for taking me back, couldn't stop smiling the entire time.. Cheers from Westminster CA 🇺🇸
1:02 the men who built that statue of Benjamin Franklin couldn't have possibly built that little mouse statue of Amos on the top of Ben's hat, cause they couldn't have possibly known about Amos, it had to have been built by mice
