Nice video man. I was using Runetail in my Aurelia the Warleader and my creatures were combat gods, two nights ago. An opponent mentioned it being possible as a commander. Here you are w this video haha
Intresting take, i have played niv alot and workt on my list alot and i would tip to get down the cmc of your spells as much as you can so you can trigger niv more times, here are some recomendations Harmonic Prodigy is sick with niv, u deal 2 dmg and draw 4 cards with one trigger from niv Storm kiln artist is fun i use strike it rich since it replaces itself when niv is out and in my version niv is the only expensive cards so it fits fine sigil of sleep, gorgons head and basilisk collor os so cool Bolt bend, foil, frantic search. snap, snapback, stuborn denial, and submerge have great synergy with niv I go for combo niv but i respeckt and think its cool to go a more casual line with him and i wish all niv player the best luck and may you spread menace to all mtg tabels! <3
Some feedback. A lot of the card coverage here is just reading the oracle text of the cards. It makes the video an audiobook version of the deck list. I think if you spent more time justifying the deck's game plan and how each card fits into the game plan, it will make it more clear why each card is in the deck. A lot of these cards just vaguely gesture towards "lifegain and creatures" and it's not clear how they work together to win.
I like the artwork of this card. Imagine how awe inspiring it would be to discover a this “island” isn’t actually an island but a massive sea creature that’s been sleeping for so long that an entire ecosystem as formed on and around it.
Just a thought, but how about making them artifact tentacles, and playing cybermen squadrron then sacrificing the myriad tentacles to stun uour opponents creatures?
I'd like to hop in and point out that the Curiosity like cards that draw when a creature deals damage don't proc from Keimi's drain! They're still great adds because of the Evasion as stated in the video but just wanted to say this before anyone gets too excited like I was when I made a Tatsunari deck! Edit: Asinine Antics provides an insane amount of card draw for 4 mana (6 if you want it at flash speed) if paired with Enchantment ETB's -> Draw like Setessan Champion and Eidolon of Blossoms. As well as other drains that trigger off of ETB rather than cast, and a full opponent board clear with Doomwake Giant! Definitely one of my favorite techs!
I've come to really love Big Score in this deck. Not only triggering commander 3 times if it's out but playing it on curve gets you to 6 Mana with the treasure it makes
Mutate works well with this commander, as you can mutate on Keimi and it changes the creatures name. You will create a new Keimi as well as drain with the previous mutated Keimi's when casting enchantments!
Just out of curiosity, would adding some walls with reach or flying be beneficial to this deck to hold back opponents a little longer, or is that more so a waste of card space?
played my rankle deck vs a zur the enchanter deck, where he said he would counter rankle every time since he only played zur and like 9 other creatures in his deck. got a early cabal coffers going and ended the game with rankle costing 14 mana lmfao, some good shit, great commander though just gata make sure you can hit someone every turn with it.
