I personally go straight for the Dam development instead of the geothermal as the geothermal produces all 3 pollution types, and a dam just produces high noise pollution. Plus the dam can produce up to i think it said like 15,000 MW of power or something, and it's eco-friendly.
This is very general imo. You can mostly figure this out by yourself during gameplay, like taxes and service budget are the first thing people would tweak. One thing I've seen from some people's gameplay is that they exploit hydro dam to sell electricity for millions while only costing like 100k upkeep. Thats really broken. On the side note, building a functional hydro dam is a lot of work and may not worth the time because its still really buggy.
I do have trouble making money early in this game. In CS1 I just reduce all budget and make toll entering and exiting the city and im good. This game is still in weird phase. Imma follow your style from this video and see if I can profit early like you too.
Not worth the upkeep cost. If you want to sell electricity, build a hydro dam. You'll make millions while it cost only 100k upkeep. But, good luck with trying to build a functional one, cause its really buggy at the moment. Make sure to make back up saves.
Sorry if there was anything unclear. Basically build less commercial then you did in Cities skylines 1. And keep an eye on the amount of customers available which is highlighted when you are about to build the commercial buildings. Low density housing needs very very few commercial building. High density skyscrapers need a lot nearby. Hope this helps
Yes, definetly! Demand only means that businesses would be likely to move in your city, it does not mean that you absolutely need more businesses@@Gerinse
@@simplex4205got it! However my demand for commercial is really high, and they still complain for not enough costemers. Should i just ignore the demand?
I am sorry with confusing things about service and commercial buildings. As you can see in the video I of course meant only place down small zones for one or two commercial buildings, not service buildings. Hope this is clearing things up.
@@simplex4205 don't be ashamed of your outdated hardware, because 16 core CPU's and a RTX 4090 are no better. It feels like MSFS 2020 in the early days. It was also limited by software and still is.
I know that, this test is purely dedicated to people who are not on modern hardware.. But I have to add, that for 1080p, 60 fps my hardware still is enough for 99 % of modern games on medium settings (Playing Apex, Trackmania, Cyberpunk, Starfield). But I aggree that I need to upgrade soon :)
I think it is poorly optimised yes - but it is a lot of fun, and keep in mind that with my own settings I always have about 30 fps, which is totally playable in this game.. have 28 hours already on record :)
Why not use TAA? The game is so noisy without it, it's available in advanced settings. And honestly disabling DOF and motion blur plus some tweaks of lighting and volumetrics gives 50-60 fps on 3070 in 1080p render resolution, so it is not that bad. And for sure shader effects are broken and poor performance has nothing to do with detailed simulation (fps remains low when you pause simulation), so there's a high hope it gets fixed fast.
This! In my advanced settings, where I am gaining a few fps extra, I am indeed using TAA, you can look it up in the video I linked in the description :)
I dont think so.. should be gpu limited.. maybe look for a good used graphics card, like at least a 1070 or better to play the game on low settings 30 fps.. sorry mate
Good short video and to the point. Can see its 1080p from your settings screen BUT what HW are you running for proper context/comparison? (unless I missed it somehow) Good luck with your channel
I came from the timmy video I’ve done this a million times but never recorded it and I’ve been arguing with some idiot who thinks this is a tap strafe lmao
Yeah I was just lucky that this happened just 3 days ago and I recorded it - then the video came out where it happened to timmy Maybe I try investigating it further
@@simplex4205 it seems like you have to hit a crouch Input when you land on small angled areas? Like in your clip you hit that little bump that show sections of the building. Definitely would be interesting to make a consistent movement tech
