I personally go straight for the Dam development instead of the geothermal as the geothermal produces all 3 pollution types, and a dam just produces high noise pollution. Plus the dam can produce up to i think it said like 15,000 MW of power or something, and it's eco-friendly.

I do have trouble making money early in this game. In CS1 I just reduce all budget and make toll entering and exiting the city and im good. This game is still in weird phase. Imma follow your style from this video and see if I can profit early like you too.

Would building 3 power plants to export the power be a way to make money?

This is very general imo. You can mostly figure this out by yourself during gameplay, like taxes and service budget are the first thing people would tweak. One thing I've seen from some people's gameplay is that they exploit hydro dam to sell electricity for millions while only costing like 100k upkeep. Thats really broken. On the side note, building a functional hydro dam is a lot of work and may not worth the time because its still really buggy.
