Former college basketball player turned trainer reacts to workout videos and tips from the pros, along with a few tips of her own. Balanced Basketball Academy aims to create a complete basketball player by addressing offense, defense, weight room, and mental work that is required to make it to the collegiate level.
Success isn't lucky, it just looks that way. ; )

@@balancedbasketballacademy The yellowing yea, lesser traction not so much anymore. Especially in Puma shoes it's switched around, transluscent perform better when it comes to grip. It's pretty much a new stereotype that their transluscent outsoles in All Pros, Stewies, Mb01/02/03s are better than the solid color ones. Sooo if you ever wanted to get transluscent outsole, this is 100% the shoe to do so, you won't regret. Even a few Nike models have better traction in transluscent outsoles than their solid color counterparts (LeBron21 Tahitian or Abalone outperform my solid color Lebron21s), tho in general you should still expect transluscent to perform worse when lookin at Nike or Adidas shoes. Loved the review tho, nice footage and it's clear listening to your criticism of the shoe that you actually hoop.
@@yashA.456 My translucent experience has mostly been with preformance Jordan's to be honest. But that is good to keep in mind. Melo's shoes have my eye, maybe they will be my next pair.
@@balancedbasketballacademy Yea that's totally in line with what everyone else is saying. Jordan Brand/Nike not so good transluscent performance. I wonder how they got their LeBron21s so good with the grip, I guess it must be the pattern of the outsole. I'ma just say you got the best shoe from Pumas hoopshoe lineup already. All Pro Nitro is the best performing shoe from them, if it's just for the looks of the Melos go for it, but don't expect them to be better than All Pros.
Yeah I agree with some of the stuff as far as the shooting drills. I have seen people work with weighted vests for dunking mainly. I used to just jump with a bench press bar for getting my hops up. I've seen some other vids for helping jumping as well without the weights though. Great analysis as always though.
Propably this analitic is very worth but I very small understand english. Thanks you for motivation to learn. I think that this video will very popular beacuase I will make big view when I learn every words. 😂 Please, you... in my country people speak "trzymam kciuki" and this mean that you want to I will succes but I don't know how write english words

Hey Jordan loving the vids. Don’t know if youll see this but Tyler Herro has some vids of his off season workout that i watched and are pretty cool. You should check em out if you want to watch and review. Keep up the good work!
So dissapointed the finals are so one sided Kyrie is overrated . Can you play that guitar? thats what I do. I broke every bone in both legs and played hoops till 60 now I can barely walk. Love the Caitlin picture too bad the hate she recieves really horrible
Weird how people are shocked by Luka dunking. I m not saying you, but I ve seen people been like "can he dunk?"... yeah of course he can. Have you seen him during his first 2-3 NBA seasons or in Euroleague? Of course he has gained weight and he can't do it now, but many people act like he can't jump or dunk, like he is Jokic somehow. He 's not, never was.
For the drill you showed at 4:40, your instinct is right…it is a form of an agility ladder except that it focuses on the combination between balance and foot speed. I have seen it used in Europe, but I admit it is rare. The balance part is when you are asked to maintain your center of gravity on the inside leg, while your outside leg reaches out to touch the side wall. Subtle yes, but you don’t get that same stimuli with traditional ground ladders. At least that’s how it was explained to me. Not sure there is real science that proves it but that’s the intention…hope it helps! Congrats on the channel btw
Its not about building muscles in legs and such as much as it is building core strength. Maybe the most important strength in basketball, much more important then legs or arms to be able to get and keep form
idk why americans are so obsessed with athleticism and lifting overexaggerated pounds of weight, luka clearly doesn't want to be super muscular and that's fine, you see a lot of guys more fit than luka in the league but they don't have his skill or talent, nice video btw
Luka is a very talented OFFENSIVE player. The rest of the world has actually provided us with a number of talented players. Well done and thank you. (sometimes the rest of the world is worthwhile)
