Clint, thanks for this amazing video! I've never dismantled a laptop before and didn't know where to start on my HP 15-ba077sa. Looks identical and with your help the whole thing was a breeze.
@@Mercedeslover69 possibly. This video was from a long time ago. So it could have been one of the antennas for WiFi or Bluetooth, or for the built in camera.
Thanks for the video. I have exactly this same issue. Well my story is: I had formatted the entire internal drive in error. Got all the files including system and hidden files from my friend and copied them over to the internal drive of the device. I also flashed it with the firmware .rgn file. The Garmin Express recognises the gps devise and says that it’ll take 3:26 hrs to update, but soon after I click on update all, it starts the update and then asks me to plug off restart and plug in the device. And then the same loop of update and restart message. The device still just flash white screen when it’s not plugged in and restarts. No luck. Any suggestions??
damn one of my scrap laptops i bought is working besides needing storage and guess what the repair shop took along with the storage... the sata interposer
I'm just seeing this video, and I'm glad you took the time to post it.i know this is several years old, but I have a question on the part connected to the LCD. There's two ribbons connected to the lowest circuit board in your video. There is also good tape applied to the chassis. Those are easy enough to remove. There are 8 black rubber things that's holding the circuit to the chassis. Would those be glued to the chassis, in your professional opinion? Also, do you think i could swap the LCD for the same size TV, but different model number I own? They're both Vizio's. One is the one in your video, and the other is only a1080p. The one in your video is 4k. Well, thx for your time.
My battery no longer charges after this tear down and reassemble. Does somebody know what part of the assembly is the connection for battery power? It says 0% and does not charge at all. The battery seems to be well connected. It charged perfectly before this, so I think something internally is not connected properly. If somebody can point to a specific time in the video where that necessary disconnection is is made so I know which cable to look at, that will be helpful.
Good and helpful video but next time take your cap off : it protrudes in the field of view of the camera and prevents it to focus properly. Otherwise your video is informative.
It's just the ENTER key which is broken. As an alternative, why not just use a different key for this? There are methods to substitute. Dell makes such crappy keyboards.
