Karin Prinsloo is a 6th Dan, registered with the Japanese Karate Association (JKA). Karin was a member of the South African Karate Team from 1992 - 2008 (WKF and JKA). Her biggest international achievement was winning her Kumite event at the World Games (WKF) in Japan, 2001. Further to this she medalled many times internationally Kata and Kumite, All African Games, Female Wold Cup, Commonwealth Karate Championships, World Games and Shotocup. Karin was also Grand Champion in Kata and Kumite for 13 years in both WKF and JKA Karate in South Africa. With this being said, karate-ka shouldn't loose sight of the true meaning of budo karate.

On this channel she shares karate techniques and drills used as a competitor. Karin Prinsloo teaches karate in Karrinyup, Perth, Western Australia.

Thanks great vid. My Kata for this month. Been doing a Kata a month for the last two years. Had knee surgery in 2020. Nice to be able to train again. Lower foundation was very week. Spent 6 month just on Tekki Katas to rebuild my legs. Very good form. Oss.

I like the quality and precision of all movements. That is a very good job! You did it 4 years ago. I suggest with time to put less conscience power in the movements , to evolve to something smoother (but not become soft/weak!😅), this is the work my sensei tell me to do and it is not so easy. For the bunkai, i m sorry, but i say : no! But great respect for your work.

Thanks for your videos! I think they are specially instructive. Tomorrow I will go to the doujou after 4 years, so tonight I am watching your videos. Last time I trained I had not children, now I have two half japanese boys. I hope they will enjoy karate in the near future (the older is now 3 years old). They may learn from your videos too! :)

I have watched near every Heian Nidan video available getting ready for an N.I. tournament. Yours is the best by far. You are so fast and sharp you make my Kata look like a snail's pace. Your kimé is so powerful. Well looks like I am watching your video every day until the end of Feb at least.
