This dude raps as fast as Em, his lyrical word play is as dope as Method Man and Nicki Minaj, his sense of humor is Lil Wayne and Redman deep and look lets get serious for a second, he can be as emotional as DMX. I'm seriously hard pressed to take Prof out of the number one spot in my Top 3 best Artists and Top 3 Rappers to EVER exist. On God i am beyond blown away by this man. I dont care what it takes i WILL see him perform live when he graces and blesses Arizona. FACTS
I’m still listening to an iPod that has literally everything you could think that’s worth your time …from the early 90s to 2010 ish…. This stuff was always found in the cracks and crevices….. we would find some and run to all our friends and play is like it was the first music ever written …. This was The most fascinating lecture /discussion on music and storytelling I have ever heard - as someone who isn't at all musically giftrd or knowledgable and just goes on the overall vibe (some music can make me cry with sadness, some music like big brass or percussion bands for example can give me this fizz of joy inside like champagne that bubbles up until it overspills out my eyes in tears (theres a technical term for that it turns out - its called Frisson) - you Sir have given me new ears to hear music and the stories each instrument is telling 🎉 Btw, re Young Thug's verse that no one can really understand other than pick out a few words- as you say it often doesn't matter & many people assign their own lyrics to what they think they hear - 80's band the Cocteau Twins capitalised on that & all their songs (eg Heaven or Las Vegas, Bluebell Knoll, Iceblink Luck, Cherry coloured Funk) were mostly nonsense words put together & left it to everyone to make the verses how they perceived it & therefore making it a more personal experience for the listener. Incidentally, Ren sang in "Suicide" that he sees the world through "Fibonacci Sequences & Double Dutch" and that would be a very fitting description of their music).
