My son requested a peanut butter banana flavored cake for his birthday and I’m using this recipe for one of the layers. Thank you so much for sharing'!
I use the butter, real butter and it does nothing more than cad a sheen to the top after the pectin sets. Doesn't have an affect on the flavor of the Preserves.
Hi: Good recipe except that it turned kind of grey. I guess due to bananas, it tarnished. Is it possible to rub bananas with lemon before mixing. Your reply would be appreciated.
What happened to boiling the pierogi before frying with onions? I’ve never seen them made this way. My Polish grandmother never skipped the boiling part of making pierogi.
Thank you for this recipe looks yummy 😋. Another way I do it if I only have can vegetables you can also do that or just a can of corn. I do that is yummy 🤤
I'm still looking for a recipe similar to the way we made them at my parent's German Club in PA. They weren't processed down to a batter but more finally chopped than yours.

I'm so glad you told me not to use actual lemon juice because I had already squeezed two lemons and watched your video first. I kinda figured that it wasn't a good idea however your the only one that said not to use it!
Hi Suzie! Thank you so much for the video and instructions. I've never canned anything before, but I've always wanted to. Your video helped me a lot. I did research on the process and decided to go with a water bath so as not to buy special equipment yet. The jam is processing this very moment lol. I appreciate the tips and expect it to turn out well! 😊
Recipe with metric units; 2 very ripe bananas 1/4 Cup corn starch (30g) 4 whole eggs 2 cups milk (500ml) 1/2 Cup sugar (100g) 4 Tbsp butter (55g)(I think that is an American butter stick and they have tbsp marks 4 tbsp is the half of it) 2 tsp vanilla(8.5g)
That's almost exactly how I make them except I caramelize my sweet onions in a little olive oil & butter first and then I add them to the potatoes. It gives them a little different flavor, not that it's a better flavor, just another flavor to choose from.
what you SHOULD have done is grate the potatoes in a bowl WITH water. It stops the oxidation. also, you should have rinsed the potatoes under cold water until the water in the bowl was clear. Next step is to dry the potato as much as possible When you don't dry the potatoes, they'll get soggy! THEN add the onion flavoring. Skip the egg. It's NOT needed. Nor is the flour! My potato pancakes turn out golden brown and crispy every single time!
