I am a digital artist and I've just ordered the new pro. My first ipad pro I've been able to afford. I'm so excited for the new pencil and the better screen for my colours in my paintings. I was considering the air but now seeing the screen difference I'm so glad I went with the pro
So many of you content creators say how limited iPadOS is compared to macOS but if Apple actually listened to most of you and did what you suggest then there would be no need for the MacBook Air, which serves a purpose within itself that’s needed for some consumers and without it our choices would be a souped up iPad Pro or Air and the expensive MacBook Pro so no more 13 or 15 inch MacBook Air option because it’s now replaced with the iPad Pro super tablet running macOS. I say give us some options to run some apps that makes sense from macOS to iPadOS but the others ones, leave them on macOS exclusively where they belong.
I may be crazy, but wouldn’t it make sense to have the “iPad” and “iPad Pro”, each available in three size(mini/plus variations). Simple. Straight forward. Pick your power. Pick your size.
I'm glad you got the pro just before. I prefer that model instead of the slim I got but no worries since I've been having fun with it. Hope that console is still functional. Nice unboxing video.
As a concept artist working professionally for 6 years, I barely use the "barrel roll" feature even on pc in photoshop using a wacom cintiq. Normal artist just call it brush rotation, nothing new here. The screen itself has little to no difference from the older models (maybe a bit more color accurate but not that much noticeable) since I don't use it to it's full brightness to save battery considering that the m2 ipad pro only last 4 hours when making heavy artwork. So there's no real reason for me to upgrade from the 12.9" m2 ipad pro to the newer m4 model. Even if they somehow make iPadOS as good as MacOS I'm pretty certain the older iPads with M series chips can support it as well.
Procreate, LumaFusion, Affinity, Pixelmator, Comic Draw, and the list goes on. All professional code that needs tons of power for some tasks and could benefit if you are running an old series A iPad instead of the Pro. RU-vidrs don't understand they are not reviewing for their own navel, but for the people that actually buy the products. In this case, it will be them, but also illustrators, video producers who create travel videos in the go with iPads etc.
Sucks that you still have to buy a Pro to get 120Hz. Now that they've bumped the Pro to that wonderful OLED, they should let that be the differentiator for the Pro and non-Pro iPad screens and just go 120Hz across the board. Oh well.
Let me guess, software holds it back for you. I’m so tired of people acting like the iPad isn’t a completely professional device for countless people just because it isn’t suiting their workflow
If it had full Mac OS and multiple monitor support I wouldn’t think twice. However no chance of me getting this with current software and os. Entry level iPad for me..
People getting crazy over 2024 iPad Pro. while me,I m still amazed by my iPad Pro 10.5 2017. Feels still out of box except for decreased battery but I bought 3meter charging cable so issue is solved.
I had an iPad Pro 2d Gen with Magic Keyboard and 2d Gen Pencil. Decided to go with iPad Air 256 and the new Pencil. I can use it with the Magic Keyboard I own. Was interested in getting the M2 chip in anticipation of the AI features that will be coming along.
It's like putting a rocket jet engine on a motorcycle 🏍️. And hoping motorcyclist will buy it with the price of a jet engine. What's wrong with you, Apple? Why do you make a MacBook so great but weird iPad Pro like this over and over again? And , having a iPad Pro to watch Netflix makes you the stupid consumer that people laugh at
I've looked through multiple videos... I find it very strange that everyone doesn't do a sound quality comparison... that one video I did see sounded wildly different from the previous generation, might just be the speaker setup of that youtuber? I don't even know, so is it comparable to the last generation, worse, better? lol
As someone who doesn't own an iPad but owns an M1 macbook Pro Max should I get this or just wait for the new macbook pro? I do video editing and use lightroom part-time for my side job.
If they provide 16+512 option for base price for all their products- ipad pro , macbook air , mac mini . I would buy apple. Meaning i will never buy apple.
Software is really the issue here. My 6yr old IPad Pro works just fine. I really want this, but WHY. I use iPad for watching videos, reading news and books. Then use MBP for actual work. Unless I can actually use iPad to efficiently get work done, it remains a fun toy.
To be honest with you, don't expect for the iPad to change the IOS like in the Macs because the iPad doesn't want to replace the MacBooks, otherwise will not sell the macs anymore. So calm down about that! :)
I’m buying an M4 13in tomorrow to replace my M2. I do drone video editing on my iPad and DEAR GOD the micro led panel on the M2 is hideous imo. I’m pissed I need to make this upgrade but hopefully it’ll be my daily editor for the next few years.
When everyone thought Apple would do something with ipados. Apple: Surprise! It's still the same but bigger iOS! Have fun with your exceedingly overpowered M4 chip!
No better pen with this level of responsiveness.. Huh.. I guess you haven't used the tab s9 ultra.. Far better pen which is given together with the tab..
Can we get or use these with clear lenses as I would probably use these for nighttime navigating ? And can I get a pair of non-prescription lenses , then later prescription lenses and will I have problems seeing the HUD with glasses or contacts on due to not being able to read close-up with corrective lenses on ?
I do kind of agree, but when a lot of creatives are losing their jobs (or are worried), it’s not a good look to the brand that’s supposed to put creatives first
