I'm now transcribing this for the 4th time. Every time I'm having difficulty incorporating something particular into my playing, I come back and find it's being used in some fashion in this solo. Such a wealth of information in one place. Great use of the melodic minor! Thank you again Achim!
Very helpful...I have a question: I see that you use Eb Dorian scale (mode), among other modes in other chords. My question is, how are those modes chosen? In this example, why not Eb Phrygian or Locrian, etc? Regards.
There are rules how to find the right scales. It's all based on the chord scale jazz theory. An often used chord progression in jazz is the II-V-I chord progression in major or minor. You have to learn a little music theory to understand this concept better.
Hello, I was wondering what would be a more effective way of practicing, learning solos by ear and sheet music to increase my vocabulary or should I put most of my focus to these videos for now because my teachers always suggest learning solos by ear or sheet music however these videos look really tempting to just put all my focus onto.
These video lesson are about learning the basic jazz guitar skills. Without this knowledge you are lost. Working on 2-5-1 chord progressions is essential for your jazz improvisation and for ear training. For more infos look here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QBO7Ka0OeM8.html
Great lesson, thank you very much for sharing... I came back to this tune after 11 years of Rock and Pop covers... what a nice musical approach to this classic tune :-) ❤
Ottimo lavoro, accuratamente confezionato. Bravo Achim, i tuoi chorus non sfigurano in confronto a quelli di Bird. Molto ben curato anche il raccordo tra un chorus e l'altro.
Hi, that Duesenberg is looking so sick with all due respect, also it has a nice deep and warm tone. Brilliant playing of course. Lets go to listen to Lou Donaldson after this..🎸🎵🎷
Hi everybody, here is my new video about the boogaloo jazz sound of the late 60s. I've played 8 choruses over a simple 12-bar blues in C major with the typical Boogaloo drum groove (latin-funky-style). The difficulty level of the blues solos ranges from easy to advanced. I think it is something for everyone and fun to play! By the way in this video I'm using my Duesenberg Double Cat electric guitar to get the old school 60s sound. All the best, wherever you are . . .
Ну да круто сыграл ... А нам , начинающим что делать?!! Если бы аы выложили хотя бы аппликатуры аккордов, не говоря уже про соло , тогда мы были бы благодарны... А так ,поиграл чувак в своё удовольствие и всё...
