Harold Macmillan, "You've never had it so good", he was so right, he kickstarted the economy by having social housing built, 90% of everything can be made in Britain again, that puts people in jobs, from the bricks to the carpets, then people can afford to move into the new social houses, they will then need paints, furniture, everything to fit your house out, ok this does not last forever but its at least a 20-30 years and thats a bloody good kick up the arse for BRITISH companies and not imports, and while the copanies are growing, start exporting fantastic goods, British steel was the best in the world, and could be again, the stainless in Sheffield was out of this world, I still have Made in Britain stainless cutlery, its 40 years old and still in perfect codition and used daily, and while this is going on, nationalise our main companies again, gas, electric, water and so on, then profit goes back into the companies and not shareholders pockets, bettering the companies. No its not the solution to everything but at least it would be a start, as I see it now if something is not done soon then Britain will hit the point of no return.
Because the left idiots are due to take power and will take rich people's money. The UK is not going to the toilet but an open doors immigration policy means people feel disaffected with politicians.
Erm. Just move to the countryside. ……… focus on assets not ‘income’ Grow your own food get in touch with nature who wants to live in a concrete jungle like Dubai?.. I do agree though, with you, that the bureaucrats in the government are Removing the hope for a better life from the citizens, people are becoming pessimistic (but not those who live on smallholdings)
Brexit has ruined the UK but rejoin may fix it in the future. Brits were mislead by foreign owned press Brexit lies. The penny has dropped. A renaissance is coming.
The UK is bankrupt, we don't have a revenue stream of our own. We don't care. aren't interested in the future. We think about Britain of the past and have no idea about Britain's place in the future. We blame everyone and everything for our situation today. We don't uniquely have anything that the world wants anymore. Accept where we are in a mess and decide where and what you want for the future. Britain is broken and it will take a lot of time and soul searching before you discover the future!
I dont know how he missed the BIGGEST point which was the cause of all his points mentioned. Uncontrolled, dis-loyal immigration. UK is the next Lebanon, labour is coming.
There are plenty of nice towns and villages in the UK - don't just judge it by the shitehole called London. France has some of the most beautiful Medieval villages, and I'd move there in a heartbeat, but Paris is a dump, and most French will agree with that The EU is no better when it comes to the division between rich and poor.
Everyone is leaving? Those migrants crossing the English channel are only doing it so when they get to the UK they can turn around and go back to france just to say they left the UK. When will the population reach zero!!!
You fail to mention immigration and the immense strain it is placing on the entire nation as a whole. Socially and economically. Community fragmentation. Societal breakdown. Been going on for years. Roger Scruton in England: An Elegy explains British culture, which for decades our institutions have failed to uphold. The UK economy has nothing in common with that of Italy, as you mentioned. You are clearly not British. You have lived in London you say, for a handful of years. Your opinions do not not count, but are somewhat limited and superficial. Vote Reform, people.
Counterpoint. It's still pretty great here. Millionaires leaving. Why? Too much tax? They don't get too keep their money? Sounds like greed to me. They don't want to give back. Sure if you live in a city full of greedy people, then yeah that's a mistake. I live in a semi-rural village and it's brilliant. Everyone's nice, the traffic is calm, the views are lovely and there are plenty of places to visit. Honestly, this just sounds like a load of people who want to take from England and not give back and if that's the case, we probably don't need you anyway.
I agree with most things you say in this video except a couple of things... especially this one thing: 7:10 the crime section of the video... at least look at statistics, everyone should dismiss your singular anecdote, and instead compare factual statistics to other western countries... the UK is generally fairly decent statistically on crime (at least a lot better than people make it out to be) hell the country that is famous for its guns (the USA) has more stabbings per capita than the UK. I find this whole thing funny because for a lot of the video you brought out statistics which is evidence based fact whereas the crime section you used a SINGLE anecdote and presented that as a UK wide problem.. sorry buddy but it doesn't work like that.
Good that you left, we don't need foreigners here hating on our way of life. Dubai is a rootless, vacuous place built on the labour of indentured servants so would suit you fine.
Firstly if been in spain 11 yrs and have my own biz, and feel down when i visit UK. 2nd, your economic explanation around taxes is irrelevant. There is no effort by govts now to balance the books, they cant, its impossible. The debt is too high, and so is the interest on that debt. so things like austerity, income tax rises or cuts, the whole keynesian theory has been thrown out. Theyll keep printing money to cope with recessions and emergencies, and that lifts inflation higher, sending your sterling to zero.
One of the big problems was the let allot of wrong people coming into the country. Late 90s U England was a nice place to live, low crime economy was great but then since 2010 was keeping declining economic and in everything and every way and yes to make things harder, the weather is horrible
I think I'd rather pick a different country than dubai... I don't even want to find out why you need trucks to get rid of human waste and also why you guys thought building sand castles in the sea would be good for the economy - you could have probably cancelled out the two problems by just not dumping the sand in the sea and destroying coral reefs in the process. Lot of money wasted that could have been used for basic amenities.
The reason why US salary is double is because the pound is worth 2 dollars. (And yes, they pay like $15 for big mac meal) The UK is miserable because of the weather, crime, immigration and foreign communities that do not integrate and actually dislike the nationals. Thanks for your opinion though and good luck in Dubai!
When you have both the UAE and U.K. company set up. Prior to dissolving the company how did you transfer the funds within the U.K. company account to the new one? Or did you not go through that?
Isn’t it possible to leave the UK company open whilst owning it from overseas? But without an ‘operator’ resident in the Uk (because the company just comprises one person). I’m talking about instances where you don’t want to go through the hassle of opening/transferring the company in your new country of residence
I supposed yes, I’m not sure but you may still need to file tax returns to the UK etc and prove to them the company is non UK resident - I can’t recall the details. It may be more hassle in the long run to do that but doable.
@tuomaskiv a UK registered company will always be subject to UK corporation tax and can't become non resident. However it is possible to shift the ownership of the UK company to an offshore holding company and charge management fees from offshore.
@@anthonyrogers4726can a third party offshore consultancy company charge the UK company management fees? Or does it have to be a ownership transfer to an offshore holding company?
I think it's traitorous to just flee and those that have lived in the UK and built their wealth and benefited from the UK system have a moral duty to try and fix the country and get their country back. Or be stripped of citizenship and barred re-entry to the UK. Because you are just being a scumbag of the earth taking advantage wherever you go with no sense of integrity or honour. Just fleeing as opportunists is cowardice and that will be your eternal legacy. Economics and capitalism without ethics and a moral conscience just makes you a rat.
does uk non resident mean non citizen or is it just for tax purposes? are you giving up your citizenship? or is it just tax purposes, you are saying you are working and living abroad
I haven't watched the video, yet. However, it's very hard not to avoid being liable for UK taxes ( if citizen) - you must own nothing and have no UK contacts , essentially ( I'm probably wrong) See Adam Fayed , or similar expert , for this information.
Non resident means non resident, ie you don’t live there for tax purposes. Citizenship is separate, by default you keep your citizenship. I am still a Finnish citizen even though I have been non Finnish resident for years.
Look I get that the Uk has its problems and right now a lot more in comparison to 10 or 15 years ago for sure. But let’s be realistic we still have one of the lowest taxes rates for workers in Europe with only Netherlands lower. We also still the 13th best country in the world for average worker pay, and still have the second biggest and most diverse economy out of any European countries in europe. Look if you want to leave the UK just leave and stop slagging our country off when you was making money you wouldn’t have dreamed off back in your own country and when we are country unlike other countries that isn’t racist and welcomes foreigners like you and also that provides free healthcare services to foreigners like you. If Uk was that bad why did you come here in the first place. Why don’t you make a video slagging off your own country?
I think the main problem with all bloggers is that they see countries solely from their position. Naturally, if you work online, you're a blogger and the money drops on your card, it's better to live in Bali or Phuket. But what are the salaries in those places for the average person? Besides, if we talk about the cons of England, we should take into account that other countries also have cons. For example, it is silly to talk about the climate in England, and in another video praise Dubai. Where the average temperature is like on Mars. Or Bali, where the infrastructure is like that of a slumdog action movie.
