Turok 08 was amazing. I was in middle school when it came out and my friends and I played online ALL the time. The knife animations were so good! I loved using knife/bow in online.
26:38 - a lot of sound designers at the time used effects from sound libraries. You can see an example of this by searching "causing much mayhem, dropping drama", one of the top videos shows at least 5-6 games the exact rap was used in 🥸
The intended purpose of the nuke weapon in Turok 2 is to deal with the flying robots that spawn during the Primagen fight. On an N64 controller it is an absolute nightmare to fight them because they are the only *moving* *flying* target that does not *at a single point* sit still for you to shoot it. The framerate combined with the single-analog stick aiming makes this a horrendous experience. Young me was very appreciative of the Nuke weapon; older me, on PC, finds it a complete waste because point-shooting with a mouse and keyboard is infinitely easier. Overall I think it was a poor design choice and completely detracts from the empowerment the weapon should make you feel when using it.
There is no good way to map a N64 controller. Your best bet is to get a USB N64 style controller. Also playing Turok on the N64 you had fog because the game couldnt draw to far out. So raptors would come charging at you out of nowhere. It was much creepier.
You really should experience these games on the N64. The fog made dinosaurs charging at you from out of nowhere much more scarier. Also trying to play on a N64 controller vs mouse and keyboard is a whole different experience.
those. 16 years Monster Hunter Was played More after this Turok cane out No talk about Any more It was Monster Hunter Hunter until this year Monster Wilds Is Comeing Out i guess i wood Half to Customize My Character To look like TuroK
Loved your first Turok video, just started watching this one. My brother, fix the inverted controls by mapping them in PJ64. If it doesn't let you, I know Retroarch for sure does.
it was the best man vs Beast Game ever ehat gappen it wood been great online multiplayer game or The Monster Hunter Of the Century it was the Monster Hunter Of Nintendo 64 & ps2.
The bizarre feeling of being teleported into a world that was a strange blend of Jurassic Park and scifi in first person with virtually no direction on my first console (N64) before I played Goldeneye and Perfect Dark made Turok an unforgettable game for the time 😗 Ps- Them remaster graphics CRISP BOY DAMN
The flechette gun was at the start of chapter 4, go to the tree that is leaning over, stand on top of it and jump over the wall and land on top of the box to get it, I would like to add that the cheat code to unlock all the levels and additional cheats is fmfb put that in and you can play through the game with ease, but you forgot to mention the unfairness of the final boss, you start with barely any ammo, second there's no safe way to fight the boss on the ground, and in order to win you have save every bit of ammo you can carry, stand on top of a downed aircraft which allows you to stand on a rock so that you are out of reach from the boss insta killing you, and unload everything you have and pray that's it's enough to kill the final boss. apart from that I enjoyed Turok Evolution, it was also funny how stupid some of the deaths are, like when Tal'Set does a back flip randomly when he dies, I never experienced any glitches, and I played it on the original Xbox, but the levels after chapter 5 got repetitive and boring.
