Even though this is a very old video, I tried this anyways on my 1 litre tea flask which was badly encrusted inside. It worked like a charm!! So chuffed😅. I used 2 tablespoons baking soda, poured in abt 70- 100 ml 3% peroxide, then filled the rest with boiling hot water. It bubblef and frothed for a while ..I didn't see brown gunk coming out so took a long handled flat steel Turner and used it upside down to scrape,it all came off so easily...now the inside shines like new.so happy, thank you for the tip!

I've been cleaning for years by filling it with hot water and add two denture tablets ( cheep ones ) . I put the cap on and let it set overnight. In the morning i rinse it out and it's spotless, like brand new.

This works because 2 NaHCO3 + 2 H2O2 -> 2 H2O + 2 CO2 + 2 NaOH. NaOH is a strong base and can corrode the tea or coffee stain away, as well as the skin if the solution is strong enough. so please wear gloves when touching the solution. you can use hot water and leave it, doesnt need the bubble to keep coming out of the bottle. As long as NaOH solution is in the bottle, it is corroding the tea stain. The bubble is CO2, it does not do anything to cleaning. If the solution get in contact with your skin, rinse it off in cold water.

Wow......🥰👍🙏 It really does work! Lots of stain from years of use, but one cleanse was enough. 1 litre stainless steel thermos, used 1/10th by volume of both Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda..ie 100ml of each and about 2 litres boiling hot water. It's the hot water that initiates the reaction. After the initial cleansing reactional outpour, continue pouring in the water, and when it settles and the thermos/cup still filled with water, cover with the cap and wait 30 minutes. Voila..! Normal rinse will then do the rest. Looks brand new.. Shines more than when it did when I purchased it..😁 Thanks @Chee Siang Choy

WORKS REALLY WELL!!! Here’s what I added to the flask: 2 x tablespoons of Baking Soda 100ml of 12% Hydrogen Peroxide solution [at this stage no real reaction] 500ml of boiling water from the kettle [this is where the reaction starts] Leave to stand for 30 mins = a perfectly clean flask, all old tea stains (years worth) have gone. I’m got the 12% Hydrogen Peroxide solution from Amazon (UK). I don’t think we can het the crystals in UK. 👍👍👍👍👍

This worked WAY better than I thought it was going to! Even though I rinsed mine out daily per the instructions, my thermos was solid black inside! It took more like a couple hours of soaking, but now it looks new again, and my coffee taste better. I'm impressed!

I am so estactic!! This is probably the first online hack that has ever worked for me. The quantity for peroxide and baking soda weren't given and I had a family tea flask which was really big so I had to repeat this twice and scrub the base off at the end. But it worked!!

It's great and i have something like that at home. You still need a damn knife though. Those onions and melons etc that they used are peeled and cut into the right size first. I love infomercials like this one, but they like to act like we're idiots.
