I bought a Motion Pro Heavy Duty Spring Puller for $16. Mounted the stand on the bike first, then springs. The springs took about 10 seconds for the narrow one first, and then about 30 seconds for the second fat spring (it took me two pulls to get it hooked on). It's amazing what having the right tool for the job can do. 🙄
This two left handed genius routed the horn wires between the mounting bracket and the engine guard. So, the connectors are squeezed between two solid metal pieces. ”Nice” touch, I'm sure the vibrations did the rest.
Its not "Rocket Science" I fitted a Center Stand to an old 1970's GT550 without the aid of a manual. It was a lot wider than the one you fitted, and I did not need to remove any of the four pipes to install it. It was just simple mechanically logic, the only thing I had to wrestle with was the return spring, but I got there in the end.
Big thanks for the tip for fitting the spring. I was thinking how on earth to get this in place until i found your video👍👍 I used a thick steel wire instead of the shoestring. Now my Aprilia Tuareg 660 has a nice center stand.
Hi, your 2 tail side-reflectors are red... But, red is ONLY for the backside of a bike. Yours must be YELLOW.... Check other bikes..! Kind regards Berlin-Germany 🇩🇪
I did not use the bolts supplied under the headlight. I found it impossible to fit. Cut some longer bolts down to make a stud. Put nuts into the frame first and screw the two studs into the two nuts. I used lock nuts. Nyloks. This then gives you two hanging studs two offer the frame up to. Then put on another lock nut to hold the frame inplace. Its fiddly to get a spanner inplace but easier than trying to locate the nuts bolts spanners and frame at the same time. Note. t=The studs can be longer than the original supplied bolts.
One additional reason why I am very cautious when purchasing a used motorcycle for several reasons, and many of them are demonstrated right here. Sanding metal parts?? NO!! Fine steel wool and a some thin viscosity oil like ATF or Marvel Mystery. I could not even get past the sanding part.
Great video. I bought a new scooter and the center stand spring is not connected. I've watched several videos trying to figure out how to do this. This seems like the best solution. I hope it is a solution. I'll try it.
Hi nice would be even better if you could add some painted cover side panels when not using luggage bags to hide boxes and give the bike a good look. Clip on panels.
What a very good clear review ! Explaining the mounting system and what comes with the panniers ! Even after 3 téléphone conversation with the team in England they made me no wiser that the mounting brackets came with the panniers. Thank you for your brilliant video.
thats ALOT of greace , ty for the video.. please tell me your bike is brand brand new .. like havent seen the road , cause DAMN its clean under it haha
