Great question. Sorry we're just now seeing this! Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. I typically check soil daily to see if the first two inches are feeling dry or moist. During hot weather-if canes haven't leafed out, we'll give them a quick misting with the hose.
It's really interesting that people think that living on one income is so simple. I think it is doable for some people for sure. I have a friend whose husband is an attorney and she is able to be at home full time because he earns enough money to support the household. However, my husband earns less than I do and I don't really have a great salary. I think a lot of folks just assume that the only reason for a second income is greed. We saved for ten years to buy the first and only home we will ever have and it is quite small. We don't have new cars, and we buy very little clothing, technology, or other items. In fact, the price of gas, food, utilities, health insurance, car maintenance and repair has caused me to sork both a full-time job and a part time job and my husband works full time. The cost of living for the basics has risen exponentially. We have a good credit score and had saved quite a bit of money for a downpayment on a house, but there are too few houses for sale and we were outbid 6 times! I seariously don't know how folks are making it these days.
Haha. Deadlifting is my solution to a strong back amongst other exercises. I'm always more concerned about time than wrecking my body. However, I should be more concerned about my body. -Adam.
Today's Decree ✝️ God is my rock and my salvation! He is the lifter of my head. He is my strength, my joy, and my peace. I will forever love and trust Him. - In Jesus name, Amen.🙏🏽
I actually have a tractor similar to that its called a Ford 2000 it was made from 1962-1975, however it hasn't worked since the early 2000s no pun intended.
How cool to have such an awesome vintage item but not so cool that it doesn't run. I'm obsessed with our Jubilee. Such a beautiful piece of classic machinery. -Adam
We have two roosters for our 16 chickens, they’ve been great especially since we free range! Those roosters will die for their hens and honestly they’re not a problem unless they start getting testy with you. Welcome to the rural life 😊
Our rooster is a pretty sweet defender. I've had to put him in check (gently) a couple of time but since then, he's friendly and absolutely watches over the hens. Such a joy to have such a precious creation on our farm. -Adam
The videos will primarily be centered around starting a family business, and specifically the flower farm 💕 But, we’re recording a lot of vlogs which has family, faith, motherhood, and fatherhood content intermixed with all the projects we're doing!
Thank you so much for having the good sense to live as a godly woman in this crazy, confused world. In case you don't know, it is very comforting to see this. There are people out there who consider even the knowledge that there are women out there being SAHMs and leading godly lives to be comparable to finding a gemstone in a garbage dump. When you see that jewel you say, "This is beautiful. Amazing." To all the godly SAHMs out there, there are people out there who appreciate your decision to live as godly women that much; they value it far more than ridiculous doctorates and six-figure incomes. There is an enormous difference between godly women and worldly women: their hearts are totally different and they make a totally different impression on you; and that is in my opinion invaluable. Thank you for living as a godly woman.
I really needed to hear this. Thank you for making this video. My little guy is 10 months today. February 1st 2022. And I'm still trying to be patient and kind to myself.
It's a constant transition the first year between nap changes, teething, and all the other developmental things! Lots of grace and patience with the learning is essential!
I need to find a community of women like this, because I keep being told to work and don’t depend on a man by single women mothers who had to do it all on their own. I’m single not married yet but I keep having dreams that God is laying on my heart. I never desired marriage or children until recently last year. I lost my mom to domestic violence when I was 14 and I always had to take care of myself and my older siblings. He threw all the responsibility on me to do everything because I’m female. I had no life or childhood, always in the house and he tried to control me that I had to call the cops on him because he was threatening me and being abusive. The male of the house didn’t provide he just controlled and didn’t work and my mother didn’t work either because he forced her not to because he was around her 24/7. We were free money to him with government assistance. She got beat up everyday, he would find us no matter where we fled to. Now the way some men operate today I don’t even entertain at all. Have not dated in yeaaaaaaaarrrrrs lol. Men don’t court now. Most men want you to submit to their ego, they are not Godly men at all. I truly believe my husband is out there somewhere on another planet 😂 but seriously it scares me but at the same time of this calling because I don’t want to be taken advantage of or abused. I know I won’t end up like my mom.
I'm so sorry for your past trauma and praise God that he is calling you out of that and to trust in him. There are men who still court! I've met so many. It's about finding the right community, but there are men that are out there that still want a traditional marriage with traditional roles that respect women as well.
This is day 3 for me with my first child and I'm a pile of emotions. This video has me in a puddle of tears in the best way. All I can say is amen and thank you for this video. It saved me. God sent you. 🙏
I absolutely LOVE this!!! Also, I’m pregnant with baby #2, my son is 3 days apart from your son (not sure if you remember me from IG😂), BUT we are moving to an acreage as well in about 2 weeks for the first time after living in the suburbs of a city for the last 13 years. We want to get a dog as well, potentially another husky as we used to have one before we had kids. Just wondering how your experience has been having a husky (or malamute?) with 2 small kids as well as the other 2 dogs? For some reason I’m nervous about the safety of it. Can’t wait to follow along your journey!
Congrats!!! Our husky is definitely more temperamental than our Pyrenees but neither have hurt either of our children or tried to. Our husky will growl if our son gets too grabby but that is something we just consistently are teaching and reminding him of. I wouldn't leave our kids alone with either of our dogs if I wasn't in the room though, just to be safe!
Praise The Lord for blessing your family with this property and home!!! 🥹🙌🏼 How fun to watch!!! 😍 Thank you so much for sharing a piece of your life!!! 🥰💕
Good ideas! It’s about making guests feel comfortable and loved, so true ❤ I would say to maybe go easy on the candles/oils, as someone who doesn’t care for a lot of the scents available in the stores and especially not when eating. Some people may actually have an allergic reaction to a strong scent too (the worst I ever get is a small headache). Maybe some cinnamon or an orange peel in simmering water on the stove, as you said - that’s a good alternative.
I am currently a homemaker and really love it but the main thing that scares me about being a homemaker is the money. Sure, I worry about having enough but mostly I put my worth and value in making money and "contributing to society" which I don't want to do but struggle with😣
Please don’t let the pressures of society make you feel guilty for not bringing in extra income! In my opinion, you’re contributing so much more by staying home. The impact you leave on your family and everyone who has ever entered your home will be far greater than any amount of money you bring in.
@@maliachandler I am a homemaker for 20 years my oldest kid is 21 and I now feel that my kids sometimes blame me for not having enough money or that I can’t give them like other 2 working family’s do! It’s not always sweet the life of a stay at home mom plus the fact that you feel worthless sometimes that you are financially dependent on your husband
@@friendywendy3474 I don’t know why any woman would feel worthless for being financially dependent on her husband. That gives a man more purpose. To lead, protect & provide for his wife & family.
