Hi, you can air dry them. It will take quite a while through (days). I would let your jacket drip dry from a hanger and then in a couple of times a day redistribute the down by giving it a good shake. As it gets dryer you'll probably want to shake the down around more regularly to break up the clumps of down. This method does work it just takes time a bit of persistence..

Hi, thanks for your comment. I think the washing may damage the fur. You could try hand washing and drying naturally - try to keep the fur out of the water as mush as possible.... good luck!
Real down has feathers that contain natural oils. Heat will release those oils and put off an awful smell. I would recommend tumble drying with zero heat along with tennis balls and let the jacket air-dry completely in the Sun ☀️
Hi, Osprey don't give any sizing recomendations other than weight. Hi, the stand folds inwards on the Poco and the Poco plus. However, it provides structure for the under seat pocket when it is fully opened on the Poco Plus

I have watched the video re both the osprey and deuter and I prefer the look of the osprey plus I can get the poco for 226 Inc sun canopy and rain cover and I know they are good comfortable packs. Many thanks.
Does the water bottle pocket hold that water bottle in securely? Or does it slip out? I’m searching for a backpack that’ll secure my kid’s tall steel water bottle and not let it fly out! :-)
Thank you. I made my choice based on the coverage of the canopy. The Osprey protects the baby from sides and top from stray branches or leaves hitting the face, where the Deuter really gives a little bit of protection from the top.
Do you have any strategies for those that do not have a dryer, just the washing machine? Think I could use a hairdryer or should I just let it dry in the sun?

Hi, you need to squeeze the valve with your teeth or lips to open the bite valve have a gulp of water and then release. It's actually very intuitive when you do it, but sounds quite complicated then I write it down!
I just rec'd the small size & haven't had the opportunity to use it, but it should be noted that it is a bit hard to open the zipper until u realize that it somewhat "locks" into place. It certainly is a sturdy bag.
I live in the pacific northwest. The yoot pack boot has graced us for 3 years now and if you are like us and get lots of rain / wet snow then this boot is not for you. The top of the lining gets soaked and the entire lining gets drenched. The pull string is too long for kids and gets tangled in the toe constantly.
Hi, if you haven't tried releasing the load lifter straps at the top of the shoulders - give it a go. This would allow the carrier to sit a bit further away from your head.
Hi! My nearly seven year old is heading to a Steiner school and will need something that can accomodate her 28x28cm lessonbooks. Do you think the 18L one would be good for her? So far everything I have found is either too big for a 6-7 year old or simply too narrow. Based on the dimensions on the website the 18L one could be what we need but when you put the A/4 in, it doesn’t look much wider inside? These things are softback and will get crumpled/rolled up if the bag is too narrow. :/
Hi, the depth is fine for the 28 x 28cm books. The back panel of the rucksack is internally 28cm wide, so you can fit the book in, but I suspect it will curl at the corners a bit as it will be quite a close fit.
Hi, yes it should be fine. If you are folding over the end of the legs to cover the feet, then just make sure that the suit isn't too tight on the feet once you have secure the car seat straps. Hope this helps.
