Now if only we found a way to strap EMPs to Zombies!!! But in all seriousness THIS is absolutely on point! I absolutely love the realistic ideas of "maybe it's a small power outage and will turn back on in a few hrs" meanwhile others are in pure panic mode! This is definitely a trumpet to prepare for the possibility of SHTF!!
I am listening to your first book right now. I started listening myself, then stopped and told my wife about the story, and we both started listening to it together. You seem very knowledgeable about prepping and weapons and stuff. I can't count how many apocalyptic stories i started listening to and shut them off because it quickly became apparent that the writer knows nothing about stuff they are writing about. I subbed to your channel because i saw you have so many more books. I will check those out too. You have a beautiful family and i hope you will all stay safe in these dark times. I think the full AI cast is a perfectly fine alternative, although I do enjoy your narration as well. As for the sound effects, I feel they are kind of nice, but unnecessary. There really is no need to make more work for yourself when your beautifully descriptive writing is quite sufficient. 😊 Ms. Kersey, thank you so very much for all of your hard work and wonderful creativity! Me too I love her insecurities. It shows her innocence and it also proves that she's human. She doesn't lie and she's genuine. And that's what made him fall in love with her. Her her insecurity is really her strength. Because it shows her true authen yourself.
Loved the story.. I normally do not read or listen to this genre of stories. I stumbled upon this by chance, and am glad I did. The story is built very nicely and the author's narration is amazing. Kudos to you Christine.
There's a youtube channel about a Canadian family collecting and auctioning antiques. The dad is named Alexander (goes by Alex), mom is Melissa. They have three kids - two sons and a daughter. Sons are named Steven and Jason. Thankfully their daughter is not named Emily or I would have some serious questions :D

My closest to home job was 35 miles. Normally i worked further away. I kept a seven day bag in my vehicle with arctic gear. I told my husband my routes home and if i didn't make it in 7 days i wasnt coming home. Since moving to the mountains and retiring, ive made changes to the bag for mountain survival and 7 days RME's for 2 people. You never know.
Your books need to be turned into movies! I am on my 4th series of your books! I love how you blend your imagination with current events, and how you keep it patriotic. A lot of patriots would love to see your books come to life.

Great book! Can't believe I got to listen to it for free! Very realistic and full of lessons for if SHTF! You get to learn from the character's successes and failures so you don't make them yourself.
Brandon Sanderson's book Warbreaker has three audiobooks. And I own all three of them. lol The first one made me nuts because the narrator (human) did the voice of one of my favorite characters of all time (Lightsong) sound like Ted from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. So I tried another version, this time where they had a cast of characters and tons of sound effects. The cast was great but I found the sound effects (which were very loud in the background) were too loud and distracting. I was thrilled when I saw that a third version came out, narrated by the same gal who does the Paper Magician series audiobooks, and she's fabulous. The amount of noise you did with the dog bark wasn't bad but I felt it wasn't necessary either.
