Kue Tapel Lena- A lady right next to the shop above cooking up a sweet treat that is griddled with coconut meat and sticky rice to form a crunchy crepe like food. Then stuffed with overripe mushy bananas and then a helping hand of palm sugar.

Gado-gado Parujakan - Such a nostalgic dish for me as Gado- Gado was one of the first Indonesian foods I ever ate. This was a Cirebon style that had most the ingredients ready to go, but with the addition of a yellow curry sauce. A little sweet and heavy for me to eat the whole thing, but always a delicious treat. The real winner for me was the Krupuk with Tamarind sambal. A textural overload with cellophane noodles topping the crunchy crackers.

Empal Gentong Bu Darma- Cirebon's most famous dish. A coconut and turmeric loaded stew with various cuts and pieces of beef. Make sure to get the fried beef skin to go along with this dish as you will want the extra crunch. A light and healthy lunch.
