It can be frustrating when people come to you for help and they are wanting you to give them a plate full of answers and yet they are not putting no efforts on their part. We do appreciate all the efforts you do to help us beginners find success in KDP. I would encourage you to use less colorful language though. It’s disheartening to hear such a brilliant man like yourself speak to your audience that way. I do have to ask since you primarily focus on high content books, do you purchase ISBN's to go along with those high content books. Or do you use the free complementary ASIN KDP can provide you and rely on the A+ content minus the look inside feature? appreciate your time god bless.
Hello Barry, Few days ago I requested a video about "trademark search". You politely accepted my request and thank you for that. I hope you don't mind if I ask this small question before the video comes. Sometimes this could be an useful point as well. With the small knowledge I have related the trademark search, I found out that the word "mediterranean" has been trademarked under class 16 (which is related to books and print on demand products) in UK trademark office. We all know that UK is the second largest market in kdp space. Since only the word mediterranean is trademarked, can we make a book named "Mediterranean Diet for Beginners" or "Mediterranean Recipes Cookbook"? "Mediterranean Diet" is a huge niche with high demand for very long time. How did those top selling books survived then? Aren't we allowed to use only the exact trademarked word (mediterranean)? I have found several other keywords with the same issue. How these trademark laws work in kdp space? I think with the experience you have, you are the perfect person to address this situation. "If coloring books is your thing, then I'm sorry, I'm not the channel for you". I respectfully disagree, Barry! As I've mentioned before, this channel teaches people how to think like an online business owner and digital marketer. The information you give can be transferred to almost any online business, not just KDP. It's that valuable! So even if you think you're exclusively teaching people how to sell high-content books, Barry, yeah, you're doing A HELLUVA LOT MORE than that. Of course, since this video is titled "$1,500/m with ONE Book on Amazon KDP! Here's Exactly How I Did It" I can see how you'd narrow the focus (since your success has been with high-content books). But since I follow other KDP channels, I'm aware people are absolutely killing it with coloring books (Chris Raydog for one) and it's most likely because, consciously or unconsciously, they're applying the knowledge you're teaching here. (To anyone else who's reading this, you can price high-content books much higher than coloring books, meaning you'll likely get to $1,500 a month quicker publishing those. I just wanted to point out that Barry's channel can be helpful to ANYONE who wants to start an online business.) Fantastic and informative video as usual. Thanks so much!
