In this video we are comparing a $1 grilled cheese, a $10 Grilled Cheese, and a $100 Grilled cheese sandwich! I have merch for sale on my website now: www.cheftylerlactosefree.com/...
I know most of my long form videos are filmed portrait, but this one is landscape, it is 4K, and it has a LOT of cheese in it. I put a lot of time and effort into making this one because you all deserve the best. I love you all - My cheddar children 🧀🧡
I am super glad you did not go the cavier, waygu, gold leaf etc etc way of upping the price of the $100 sandwich. Totally classy. Far too many people use that as a price increaser without increasing the actual quality. My suggestion is to make a series or tests of bread with the same cheese in the middle. See how a whole wheat one tastes, vs. a rye, vs. brioche, vs. a spelt one.
@@Jg-om8in the guy in the cideo has on a few occasions. That being said i think the original comment was just talking about people who make food videos in general using wagyu (im assuming thats what you meant by saggy and auto correct fucked you) or caviar or truffles to make stuff more expensive or flashy
@@abstraktfilms This is clearly a crime against all that is good and right in the world. The amount of despair that entered my mind when I read this comment was tantamount to when I was told as a young child that my father had died.
@@adareif1141 I apologize for bringing such a devastating image to mind. Hopefully it will make any future grilled cheeses more heavenly than ever before. My condolences
@@abstraktfilms Your apology is greatly appreciated. It appears to me as though your original comment was merely a thought exercise related to conjuring horrific imagery, and that any harm done to my mental health was accidental and was unintentionally done without any malice or ill intent behind it. You are right though. From this day forth anytime I eat a grilled cheese, I will be warmed both by the ooey gooey cheese held within and the knowledge that it could have been much much worse, but never was. I am joyed by the thought that I don’t live in the NoButterBurntUnmeltedGrilledCheese timeline. Thank you dearly for providing me a source of great solace in these trying times. You are greatly valued and appreciated.
I remember he made a poll on which video he should make, and this one won. Still can't get over how I COULD'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 'MAKING GRILLED CHEESE ON A DESERTED ISLAND' TO PREMIERE THANKS A LOT GUYS
I absolutely love gruyere cheese. The Unami factor is off the charts, but I got to say that $100.00 sandwich looks lit. A different flavor with every chew!
I really appreciate your commitment to creativity, by going out of your way to source truly gourmet, top of the line ingredients, rather than simply just covering it in gold leaf and calling it "expensive" the way far too many chefs do when they want to make something "expensive." Your commitment to quality and creativity both really come out in this video! Plus, I've gotta say, that sounds like a truly life changing sandwich! Out of the three, I'd choose the $100 sandwich, for sure! 💖
The $100 sandwich might be a once-in-a-lifetime luxury I'd like to try sometime, but the $10 could be on a semi-regular rotation in my house. Honestly though, I still love a basic cheddar grilled cheese with Campbell's tomato soup.
I’d love a guide to lactose free cheese, I had no idea stuff like Munster can be found lactose free Also love the video, it was genuinely good and easy to watch The down to earth nature of your content is genuinely refreshing
Hey dude! Your videos are so amazing and I've learnt so much on how to make grilled cheese.. I made one today because of your videos and it was amazing. Keep grinding ❤
Love to see some creativity in soup or tomato sides. :) Like your own classic grilled cheese, cut into quarters, sample some hommade unique soup/dip options. (I recall one video talking about branching out? Opportunity while staying on point!)
Technique for extra melting and no bread burn: Right after you put the cheese on and put it in there quickly spray a little water and put the lid over the pan.
I'm happy I found this channel. He is not one of those annoying channels that puts a biting sound effect before eating and making the meal very unappetizing.
Love this format. Big fan of the shorts too but watching this one made me realize I wasn’t subbed. You earned another sub. But now I want an expensive grilled cheese : (
For me I'd take these sandwiches for the mood Feeling a bit hungry and want a little snack: $1 is good for me!! Feeling like I want something fancy on lunch: $10 is what I'll go for No I'm not making a $100 grilled cheese!!!
Man i just discovered your channel, and i gotta say i've been trying new methods and types of cheese since, for the last 5 or 4 months my fav meal has been grilled cheese! lol.
Would love to see colored series! I am a painter and can’t help but think of a red , orange, yellow, green, blue, etc. themed and colored grilled cheese. Using the right color ingredients, and not just food coloring. What ingredients would strawberries, beets, steak, bell pepper or cherries etc. do for red color. Making a beet infused mayo, a strawberry compote, Long Clawson Windsor red cheese, paprika, etc. I think it would be so fun to get creative with incorporating and balancing colors and flavors with cheese and toppings/additives while still exploring and delivering a delicious grilled cheese ! (And tbh the visual element of “crazy” colored grilled cheeses without food coloring and the image of bright grilled cheese and and stuff like that seems like something the algorithm would enjoy!)
this videos are sooooo relaxing and just having one thing to cook for a chanell may see like a bad idea but its great and its relaxing and idk its just satifing
I make my grilled cheese by softening the butter and spreading it evenly on what will be the outside of the bread, i too go low and slow getting the skillet to temp, then i place one slice, butter side down, stack my cheese and place the other slice of bread butter side up, then after about 2 minutes i flip it and continue doing this till both sides are golden brown. Perfect every time.
I usually make mine in a sandwich maker using Shredded chedder and spray the front and back of the bread with butter flavored cooking spray.I usually have no problem with that. With that said, thank you for giving me some new ideas for when i make them in the future.
Me being from Italy and finding Moliterno al Tartufo in local shops and constantly buying a slice, seeing it in a very small format like it's some sort of national treasure ahahha
Happy seeing you bro making long form videos, however there's definitely room for improvement. So here are the 2 most important ones, so first of all you could change the thumbnail to three comparative pictures of the three sandwiches, and secondly you could've put some Lofi relaxing music.
I'm new to following this channel so I'm unsure about this. If Chef Tyler hasn't tried it yet, he should try replicating Alton Brown's version of a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. :P I'd be interested in his take on it. :P
You nailed it with the $100 sandwich, reminds me of a scene in Shokugeki no Soma (cooking anime with a bit of adult content) where the chefs were challenged to make gourmet food with grocery store items and the dish will be evaluated by a price tag.
This video has inspired me to try making homemade mayo. Not sure what i'll use it for, but it looks like it could really liven up the sandwich I'm planning on making with my mout de raisin mustard!
I'd choose either the $10 one, or go for the expensive cheeses just one at a time instead of mixing so many together, just to make sure they all get a chance to shine.
I agree. My favorite grilled cheese of all time will probably always be just the classic and most basic one. Being able to share that experience with everyone makes it that much better
my grandma makes THE BEST onion jam. It is amazing on a grilled cheese. Can I send you a jar from Tasmania a little island in Australia it would be an awesome video idea
The 1 dollar one is reliable and affordable. You get so many bread slices in a loaf and so many cheese slices in a pack that you can live off it for a week. Great for college students who are barely making it by
my comment might be biased because i’m italian but i’d suggest to make a series of italian sauces/recipes grilled cheese sandwiches. like pesto grilled cheese, carbonara grilled cheese, amatriciana grilled cheese, bolognese grilled cheese… sounds quite dope to me.
