🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10+ years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
See any factual food errors in my videos? Please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY POV. It is not meant to offend any person or culture. Peace!

Wow I'm Southeast Asian from Singapore but Cambodian cuisine has always been very off the radar and unfamiliar to me. In fact I don't think there are any places in Singapore serving Cambodian cuisine despite how geographically close we are. Interesting to see that the food is actually quite unique, healthy and very very colourful with the use of flowers. This just made me want to visit for the food. Kuy teav / hu tieu is definitely a dish likely created by Teochew Chinese migrants in Cambodia though

Cambodia is easily one of the most amazing countries I've ever been. Such a tragic history which wasn't really all that long ago. People were so nice and it was the first place I got to experience Bioluminescent Plankton which i'll never ever forget. Got to try some of the best food I've ever had, but also some of the worst lol. Only complaint would've been the Cicadas, I swear they come with megaphones over there.

I use to go to this Cambodian restaurant that was 30 mins away from me in Vancouver, BC, Canada. For some reason, I always felt inclined to go all the way there despite the distance even though my family wanted KBBQ, Dimsum, Sushi, Italian food or a nice BC seafood. miss that place near Victoria and Nanaimo Dr.

This is why I always support you, Sonny. Good introduction I like that there is a mix of humor, creating a happy atmosphere. In addition to discussing the food, you conducted interviews with locals to gain insight into and a voice for both the cuisine and the locals themselves. This effectively told the story of the food by bringing viewers into the lives of the chefs, cooks, and locals. Thank you for showing Cambodia to the world, especially Chef Nak and other Cambodians who participated.

Wow, I really love this episode! Thanks, Sonny, for reviewing the food in Cambodia! I grew up in Cambodia where my family ran a wedding food business for over 30 years and I got to eat a great variety of delicious food. Love all the Cambodian cuisine! The Kuy Teav Phnom Penh, Nom Banh Chok, Bok La'hong, Amok, Numpang Bate, Cha Kreung, Somlor Machu and Borbor Kreung etc... So yum yum, now I live in the USA I'm not able to eat some authentic Cambodian food like in Cambodia.

I don't know how many people are aware of this but there currently is a somewhat online culture war going on between Thailand and Cambodia. They keep claiming that one stole some culture from another and I would like to use the opportunity of this video exploring Cambodian food (as a Thai person myself) to spread awareness and to say that I appreciate both Thai and Cambodian culture, each have their own unique food. I do not wish for the two countries to go to war over some cultural claiming.

This episode was epic!! From the fresh herbs & spices to the succulent carmelized piglet carefully roasted over a open flame charged my appetite for authentic fresh Cambodian cuisine. Omgoodness!! Each dish reviewed on this culinary adventure looks phenomenal but the milky roasted piglet brought a sensational vibe to my liking. I only can imagine how delightful & satisfying the aroma was experiencing these delicious delicacies. Both of the co-hosts were vibrant heart warming additions to the show but the last chef revealed is a one of a kind skilled craftsmen that will definitely be worth the value of the price for the prized highend cuisines displayed at his restaurant. Sonny always hit a homer out the park on his unique classified culinary escapades however this was astronomical content educating viewers on food & culture from a majestic country of tantalizing history and amazing traditional foods overall provided outstanding documented treasures. 🥥🍈🧅🧄🌿🍀🌺🌸🦐🐽🐌🐟🍲🍱🥘🍛

Sonny deserves a lot of credit for what he does. He is so respectful with other cultures and really enjoys the culinary experience. Honestly I think he os the only person that I know bringing people together. Honestly amazing 🤩

You are the Best Ever Food Review Show! Not just in name, but this channel has gotten so good at teaching and exploring food and the people who make it, that if anyone I know is going to a place you've been I recommend watching the episode. You guys are the BEST!
