@@cinnamonfirewater chocolate is bitter then milk solids, sugar etc are added to make it sweet that 500$ bar could maybe a real chocolate (100% chocolate) and real chocolate is very bitter
I also did some research and the cholocate he mentioned was from To'ak, it's not supposed to be a snacking chocolate but a tasting chocolate. The only reason it's so expensive is because it's one of the only brands using a nearly-extinct kind of cocoa
The 500 dollar is an edible art piece. It's meant for you to observe, wonder, and finally taste the life of an elegant, noble, wealthy man's life. You eat the chocolate not for the sweetness, but for the rush of endorphins. Then when the rush is over, you would realize that the chocolate maker financially bent you over and gave you back shots.
The reality is that the closest tasting bar to a cacao bean was actually the most expensive one as when they get the beans it tastes bitter so most companies add other flavors like vanilla and sugar to make it more appealing to the consumer
No, almost entirely wrong. The level of bitterness is more dependant on the level of cocoa solids vs other ingredients, more than anything else. To’ak Chocolate bars are 65% cocoa which is virtually inedible unless you already have an inquired taste for very dark chocolate.
@@Rocket_Surgeon That’s actually really interesting because I genuinely enjoy Ghirardelli’s 72% cacao, but I never had to develop an acquired taste for it. Their 86% is where it gets a bit questionable for me. This actually reminded me that there is a gene which impacts how a person tastes bitter things which makes sense why some people might find 65% to be virtually inedible while others enjoy things well past that. I also assume what the other ingredients are also plays a role though?
The darker the chocolate the more bitter it is that's why a lot of chocolate will mention the percentage of cocoa to other ingredients. I've tried an 80% and wouldn't dream of trying anything higher as 80 was very bitter. Usually the lower the percentage the more "milk chocolate" it becomes, It also changes how fast it melts. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate are three different things with white chocolate not even being chocolate.😅
@@mozart0 melt it down and mix it with a little butter and some milk then re freeze and solidy it. Shit throw some cinnamon in there and a little cayenne pepper to add a small kick to the chocolate. Your taste the cinnamon but you won't taste the cayenne.
Literally no doubt. Notice how all the others were dark chocolate except the feastables one. Like come thats wack as fuck. Rigged and set up to say wow feastables is great 🤡
All the other ones are bitter dark chocolate too but he didn't have to flush his mouth out with those. Why make something inedible and sell it for 500$.
@@HumanoidEyeball yeah but they made it ass, at that point just take a spoonful of pure cocoa powder for 50 cents and it will taste the same. No one wants chocolate without fats and sugar because it's not edible that way, that's why all good companies that aren't straight scamming you never sell dark chocolate at too high a percentage.
@@huskykid0295no..real chocolate is for cooking not eating as a snack.. $500 is a lot but there is something probably specific with that like something centred around it But they aren’t “making it ass” that’s just what pure chocolate tastes like.. then you add all the sugar and shit and make it unhealthy.. then it becomes tasty🤷♂️
@@huskykid0295so it’s not a scam.. you don’t buy cooking chocolate expecting to just eat it like that… if you do that’s on you not the company Also sorry I didn’t finish my thought before sending my last comment
if u live anywhere near me [london] go to a corner shop. look for a chocolate that is half red and half yellow and is Euroshoper brand. it's around 57p-87p so less than a pound. it's really good
@@RetcyThey used to sell Milka at Walmart in the US and sometimes I could even find it for a dollar but now it’s hard to find it outside of an international grocery store.
I'm the type of person who likes bitter chocolate, but I would not spend 500 dollars, literally, I would go to a random store and get the chocolate I like.
The Moai are iconic stone statues found on Easter Island 🗿. These statues are believed to have been created by the Rapa Nui people centuries ago, serving as a representation of their ancestors and cultural heritage. They are a fascinating archaeological mystery!
The reason why the Hershey’s dark chocolate tasted like chocolate flavored wax is because all Hershey’s (especially white chocolate) are legally not considered to be considered chocolate. They fixed this by calling it “chocolate flavor” in Europe.
I actually think dark chocolate is the worst one. My mother’s sister delivered me a 99% dark chocolate and I’m not even lying; it was so bitter that we had to spit it out every time we had the courage to eat it. To this day its laying in the freezer and the year it came in was like 2020 or something. White chocolate is the best because whenever my father goes to Europe and gets me some, I love it.
