I don't drop or pick up anything with my van for any less than 75 to 80 bucks and that's in a 5-to-8-mile radius, I work alone. You drove what 50 miles? The dispatcher takes 25%or what? 3 hours later you made 160.00 bro. Get together with local businesses and build a reputation with them cut out the middlemen. you will double your income at least. 2022 my average was 500.00 a day and a lot of times 700.00 a day. If I couldn't make the cabbage in the Berkshire area I drove between MA, CT, VT, NH, RI and would make 2,500.00 to 3,500.00 a week on long runs. the least amount I made in a 7-day period was 900.00 bucks very slow week and it happened only once. Been doing this long enough to know that only two kinds of people don't make great money in this market, those that are just learning and those who are lazy. I am now on my second van this one is loaded with all the bells and whistles. Yeah the money is here when you learn the business. Great vid bud.

Thanks I appreciate that. Ya know I’m not sure what loadups take away is. They don’t show what the customer fully pays. You only see what you’ll be making. The main reason for the video is if you’re already in junk haul then you could probably really benefit from the app. For example most jobs I do are mattress pickups that are already outside. So if you have a job already in the general location of a LoadUp job it’s easy money. Not even a couple of minutes usually. For me personally I run it as a gig app more times than not though. It’s just where I’m at in my business. I like the comment though thanks for the insight.

Hey @keyfick I’m right in Maine with a brand new Junk business. Have no plans on working NH or Mass. How do you generate your business if you don’t mind me asking?
@keyfick
@keyfick 9 месяцев назад
@@isaackrainis8003 I started with a company back in 2021. To take some heat off my dispatchers during the weekends I was in contact with the shippers directly. The shippers liked me because I would be there for them in a pinch even the weekends moving freight 1K miles in 18 to 20 hours. Word spread about me for those shipping routes and the shippers started calling me directly cutting out the dispatcher company. Long story short make yourself a reputation and the money will follow.

Are those numbers gross or net? This has been my side gig and you’re absolutely correct regarding these apps. The apps take a good bite out of your pocket and put you in a situation where you’re bidding for the job. That’s the case with UShip and Shiply, I am just researching Load Up but it’s probably like the rest of the apps where you’re either bidding for loads or paying to get first dibs on loads. Then on top of that you’re driving all over the place to make $50 net. You gotta have your own clients like furniture stores, etc.

The jobs on there are not worth the labor, they give you half of what they charge the customer. So an example they charge 770$ for a job and give you 330$ then take away double tolls, gas(trailer/equipment), helper wages, minimum 120-150$ dump fees, 3.3% credit card transaction etc fee( they won't pay you by ACH, credit card only because theyre probably collecting cashback off of your work) also these jobs are back breaking rough physical labor. On top of that they want you to buy points for the priority to be able to get jobs. They post jobs to dispose a ton of furniture from apartments up 3-5 flights of stairs no elevator for only 170-180$. Its a joke, dont bust up your body for this slave labor.

Does Loadup provide a helper or do you have to find your own?

Do you know whats the monthly payment point system for and how it works??? It says you can pay 75 bucks a month for leads, or up to like thiusands a month and make double revenue... Is that true and how does it work??? If you can please help
@vanpreneur396
@vanpreneur396 6 месяцев назад
I’ll look into it some more. Might make another video specifically for the points. It is somewhat confusing for sure. Not to assume but I would imagine whatever “monthly” subscription you choose will give you equivalent job opportunities. $75/month for leads actually is not to expensive. Hypothetically if the $75 allows for up to 50 customer leads, you might only get 25, maybe 10, could be all 50 leads. But that’s a perfect world. So there is a level of your own risk tolerance. Definitely shouldn’t think just by spending the money you’ll get the customers. But in my area I don’t really pay attention to the points and I do just fine. There are opportunities missed sometimes because of the lack of points. I’ve never paid for points. But if you’re in a competitive market you might have too

I have a LoadUp video tutorial that does go over the point system as much as I know

There’s a website called A4DD “Association For Delivery Drivers” and you can get all types of insurance through them for a reasonable price. And yes there are jobs I’ve done on my own. Like a mattress pickup that’s outside. Those are super simple and easy.

And I don’t remember if I mentioned it in the video but my wife is a partner in my business and I have a brother in law that’s a 1099 employee to my LLC.

which state are you because here in Massachusetts the eviction fee is 75$ for each mattress and loaudup pays 40$ more for you to have the order like this and it is difficult to work with them.

Congrats on becoming a loader! You will use Square, QuickBooks or PayPal to send an invoice to LoadUp. PO’s are sent to your email every Tuesday.

I would say as long as the vehicle is presentable and clearly functional you shouldn’t have any worries. But I’m not too sure how picky they can be on vehicles.
@vanpreneur396
@vanpreneur396 11 месяцев назад
Yes they do require you to have a helper. You don’t show proof that you have hired help but you do sign a contract saying you will provide the help needed for the jobs. There are a few jobs that will pop up that you can do on your own. But in my experience you’ll definitely want a helper anyways.
