Hi everyone! This is the first part of a 3 episode special I have on the repair of my alexander wang rocco bag. It is in a gorgeous cobalt blue color and had major scuffing and leather damage on the corners and along the front and back and handles of the bag, but I didn't want to dye it all a new color, so in this video I show you how I color matched and color corrected the corners and fixed the damaged leather.

Thanks so much for sharing this video on touching up worn leather on a bag. I just bought a Banana Republic cobalt blue leather tote at Good Will today, half price for $2. It had some bad worn areas on the bottom and back. I used your technique and was able to restore it to like new! I didn't have the leather acrylic so I used my acrylic craft paint and since it was dull, lightly went over the painted areas with water base varnish.

Hi Can you use Angelus' "acrylic high gloss finisher" instead of that Cadillac polish or you wouldn't recommend it?? PLEASE PLEASE Do an update on the wear of this paint i want to try it & the boot cleaner but need to know how effective!! would rlly appreciate!!!!!!!! x

Hi! Thank you! And I suggest buying them amazon. Just type in: Angelus acrylic paint and they'll come up. They come in like every color too and they're mixable, so you can do those custom colors.

Hi! I love all your bag rehab videos, and I have a question, would you recommend using fiebings leather dye on this type of leather? And do I need to use a deglazer first? Thanks!

Zeldachick Link I saw a few pictures of a baby blue smaller Alexander Wang in the same the leather dyed an eggplant colour using Fiebings. I bought the Fiebings in Black to dye my silver Rockie (it had severe damage & the seller refused the return). I found this video and never dyed it. I'm now considering buying Angelus to dye it but I'm waiting for an answer from itshadrian before I start the project.

+BlanBriel omg. Never use shoe polish on bags with the exception of maybe a clear. Otherwise it will rub off on you and your clothes, which is never fun. ❤️❤️❤️

i heard that the paint drys and cracks on leather, is that true, I want to leather paint a chanel pouch but afraid it will crack with the paint

Thank you! And you can buy the paint from a shoe repair, but I usually always buy my paints and dyes on amazon directly from Angelus. That way I know the paint or dye is always new and is the newest formulations. The older ones are not that great and I find that a lot of shoe repairs that I've bought dye or paint from in the past were only selling the old stuff, which is not as good.

I have this but in like a suede leather n I’m not sure how to clean it...any tips how to clean ??

HI! I like to use a soft white eraser like the ones we used in school. Those work pretty well for me. I also recently started using the Angelus Brand Suede Cleaner and it works really well too, so I recommend both, though the eraser works WONDERS and is usually pretty good at getting the job done.
