As a Sri Lankan, I cried too by watching the last minutes of the video. I can say, most of the Sri Lankans are genuine, lovable, respectful, full of hospitality. These lovely people's dreams, hopes, kindness are being used and stolen by the politicians to come to power and now most of the Sri Lankans are suffering. But I see, most of them still hoping that, someday they can smile again. Proud about myself as with all the good attitudes. Thanks for this great video.

i'm from Sri Lanka, where Colombo tuktuk drivers often view foreigners not as individuals but as dollar signs. This perception is influenced by the economic crisis, which makes it difficult to blame them. However, amidst these challenging times, Mr. Dougles' request for only 1500 LKR per hour seems somewhat unfair. Yet, compared to others, he demonstrates remarkable fairness. I accidentally happened to watch this vlog, Mr. Douglas set the standard so high for Sri Lankan Tuk Tuk Drivers what a gentleman, he got a great communication skills and you had been very kind and appreciative of his service, sometime a little act of kindness makes one's day, The last part of this video is the proof of humanity, you and Doughlas both teared up that was beautiful and overwhelming to witness, God bless you.

He is such a gentleman. He did not just guided them, also cared for them. Those tuk tuk drivers he talks about, scams every single one possible, not just foreigners, even the locals. To avoid from those, you can always ask to switch on the meter( where you can see the price on the digital meter) if it’s a short distance and afterwards it’s better to keep your eye on the Google map otherwise he will roam around the whole city to reach your destination.
