He. Doesn’t do it anymore that much he is slowly turning into a sell out making a single car last a few videos. I’ve been watching less and less and I’m a OG viewer. I don’t like 80% of his new videos. But it’s his channel he can do what he wants
@@Romizzler sell out? My first big series was about a boat that was 9 episodes Long. People like a story. Do you really want to see the same thing over and over all the time? Wouldn't it get boring?
@@FlyingWheels you never get boring man the new videos are great for your new viewers and I wish nothing but greatness for you. So I would keep those coming but videos like these are gold man a whole start to finish 1 short videos. and being a sellout isn’t bad and I don’t mean it in a bad way I think it’s one of the only ways to keep growing but I think the real fans of this channel that watch them every time they upload want more videos like this.
Bought me a nissan cube 2013 for 350 dollars , with bad engine head gasket, Bought a used engine with 5k miles from eBay shipped to me for 500 dollars , installed my self , clean the interior and waxed , took me 3 weeks to have it ready for sale , sold it Last Friday for 5500 dollars , make a profit of 4000 dollars, all this thanks to your videos , flying wheels,
Dude that’s a lot of work and hassle for 4K.. Check into stock trading. I make that easily with only a few clicks of the mouse in usually less than a month. And trust me I am no genius or financial guru. But you do need some dough lying around to get started. The more money you have the more you can make, unless you want to do margin trading, which I don’t advise.
I forgot to mention all the oil cans in the back seat. Valve cover gasket was leaking and we repaired it. Wasn't low on oil, was dry underneath and couldn't find any other leaks.
As a Hollywood cinematographer That time you take your photos of a black car right near sundown It’s called” Magic hour” It’s one of the best times of day to shoot anything My best wishes always from Las Vegas Craig Very nice video
Amazing it still runs but if you buy a manual you know someone took care of it, or a high chance. PS; What happened with the American Ninja warrior? Was definitely impressed with that, even if you didn't make the cut.
Did you use a two stage paint or single ? Like was the paint clear coat and paint in one ? Also how long did you wait until you wet sanded and buffed ?
Never understood the whole tax refund thing. Why give the government a free loan with your money. If you estimate correctly, you don’t owe or have pay and you live with more money all year round. I’d rather owe the govt than give them a free loan
Is it still considered reliable when the engine from 2006-2008 is a ticking time bomb? Do a search on the engine crack. My 2006 LX AT bought brand new back in 2005 is still my daily driver, 205k miles.
@@joeyyung911 there were 7.3 million civics sold in the us. Most of them never had and never will have the cracked block. From what was said on forums most cracked around 60k to 140k miles due to a casting defect. If you're over 200k miles on a 06 you were effected by the issue, you're probably still driving a year later after this comment was made
I learned something! Lol the sticker removal! I knew about using heat (from Wisconsin so it’s cold more times than not lol) but I never thought of using only SO MUCH heat! Now I know why I’m always left with a shit ton of glue afterwards! Thanks Craig! Btw that Honda turned out GREAT! Is that your first time painting with a gun?? I’m honestly confident in painting/sanding/body work as I’m in the home remodeling business and I’m known as the “drywall guru” (lol so they say ha) and I love sanding and flatting stuff out so You can’t even tell there was a repair there and with body work it’s pretty much the same in the way. Kinda anxious to try it on something !
I did the same thing when I was 17 and made good money. I bought a hatchback mustang 4 cylinder for $1,500 cleaned it up and the mailman said wow where can I get a car like this. I said right here $3,000.He bought it then I bought another car for $3,000 sold it for $5,000.Then I bought my first IROCZ 1985 for $5,000.Drove it for a year and sold it for $6,500.That was 30 years ago.
They're good cars but realistically not worth 4500 for what he has. I can get a 4 door automatic with close to 100k miles for 5k. Great student cars. Something like what Craig has would be worth probably 3000 in my opinion. 2 door manual coupes aren't the best cars to own. Not ideal if you have passengers.
The car market has drastically changed from a year ago, rolling wrecks were selling for $2,500 and up, today the same car is $1,500. Trucks that were 7k are now 4,500
What a great looking affordable car. I think every young driver should drive a stick. My first two cars as a teen were stick and I think it makes a person a better driver. OH...and with a push or hill you can get it started in a pinch. Long live the sticks
Hey Craig! Just wanted to take a quick minute to thank you. Your videos and their content are absolutely awesome! I’ve owned a vehicle restoration shop for the past 20years. Still do it for myself. And those clients willing to pay the flagged hourly shop rate. The business has been doing body and paint for some dealers in town. And a good mix of collision work. Ive bought and sold cars throughout the years. Almost a Always making a at least 15-20% profit. Usually much more. Now that ive started watching you and Lucky’s videos. My son and i have stepped up our cheap car game. We are each selling 12 cars a year. (As allowed by AZ state law. We will be getting a dealers license in January to go the next step.
You make the absolute best videos with the most truly honest & accurate suggestions information & content and you do all of this with the nicest kindest unselfish aditude and for that sir I just wanted to stop & take the time just to says thank you & you are valued & appreciated i know because i personally greatly appreciate all you do. I'm almost 50 and completely at sitting at the rock bottom of my life due to personal family tragedy and I have to literally start all over.. Alone.. I don't yet have my a vehicle of my own and truthful I only have few bags of clothes to my name.. that's all my worldly possessions & personal belongings.. it's hard to start over from nothing when only receiving $932 a month from SSDI but with what you have taught me and told me and me being a car guy from the very beginning an old drag racer and shade tree mechanic I'm going to put all this knowledge and advice to work wish me luck sir and I thank you again.. Sincerely Joseph M Hodges aka oldschooljoe.. Washington Indiana
I’m 19 and I feel like I’m one of the last people my age that daily drives a stick. It’s crazy how few manuals there are anymore. Also Gerber is a good brand, nice find!
Seeing a bunch of oil cans in there would make me worry about the car might burn oil. And that generation of Honda civic it's common for it to burn oil.
Ik the lack of information that he actually puts on each car makes me think he doesn’t do any engine or transmission work on pretty much any vehicle that is already running. Idk it would be cool to see him changing the spark plugs and stuff too but I doubt he even gets into any of that.
I may b late to this. I have a professional job and everyone thinks I'm giving that up. I' say no. I'm a hobbyist. I hope n pray 🙏my dealership can pay for itself and everything else is passive income. Thank u for this!
Someone told me I'm at church that I should be flipping cars I didn't really know what he really meant but now that I see it I'm going to use my talent of a mechanic and I thank God and I think people from RU-vid they are teaching me this so I can use it to make good money I am saving up my money and I hope I can sell a good car thank you very much
Craig what do you do with the floor mats? I almost always leave them in the cars however most of the time my steamer gets the carpets under them looking perfect and I hate to throw the mats back into the cars because typically they just dont come clean.
Thanks Craig, awesome info, what and how do you blend the paint? Also how do you buff using what? Great video, do more like this, things we can do ourselves.
I have a 1996 F250 crew cab super duty power stroke diesel, 5 speed manual, 4X4 with manual shift 4 wheel drive. I can literally leave the truck running in front of a Home Depot and not worry about some punk stealing it.
This car *has* to be sold already....that's a perfect winter beater. If I lived near you, I woulda showed up with 3.5 k in one pocket and 500 bucks in the other pocket and offer to take it as it sits with no warranty for 3500 bucks.
Everybody and their mama is trying to flip cars, nowadays. How do find cars in this environment? Plus, how do I compete with all tge sheisters rolling back odemeters?
My personal opinion, this is why id rsther buy a car from the actual owner when buying used. Id rsther car looking like shit for 1200 than a shined up turd for 4500, jesus thats a ton of money for that.
Sealer is your friend a $15 harbor freight gun is not. A least get a $100 paint gun … and use plastic wrap it’s a nightmare to get off over spray.. also use a electric da sander much more efficient and the compressor won’t be running so much
That house Reno was very refreshing, plz continue. Also this was satisfying, don’t let the haters get your attention because they are just insecure about themselves.
I can’t understand why people get large tax refunds. If you get a large tax refund, all you did was float the government a tax free loan for a year. Go see an accountant and stop giving the government FREE money.
That car obviously has some engine issues, burning oil at least. People generally don’t keep oil containers in their car if the engine is not having issues. The car has obviously been abused and not well taken car of. I wonder what the maintenance schedule was like on that car. Probably never had the coolant, brake fluid, or manual transmission fluid changed. In my younger days the only fluid I ever changed was the oil. But in those days (late 1980- early 2000s). I rarely kept a car longer than 60k miles. I am glad to hear that manual trans Civics are one of the most reliable cars out there. I have owned 3 an 84, a 96 and I currently own a 2013 that I bought new, currently with 126k miles and never any problems. But the first 2 were not great when it comes to reliability. I have never had cars be more trouble free than when I started doing my own maintenance. Those mechanics have a hard job, are always in a rush, get distracted, make mistakes, probably don’t care, and are just not going to provide the same TLC as I can. I now do all my own preventative maintenance and brakes. On my 13 Civic I’ve been using Mobil 1 and Purolator Boss oil filters since the second oil change. Honestly, I have never been a fan of the car. The rev hang is a kill joy and it’s not very peppy. But the pros outweigh the cons. Getting 40 mpg average, the car is reliable and easy to work on, and doesn’t have all those electronic nannies that new cars have, so I am glad I held on to it.
Ok first off , theres nothing impresive in what you did, anybody with a heated and equiped shop can do that , second stickshift cars hardly ever sell even worst with high mileage , third dont say you can do it in 1 day because unless you are god and can stop time and space , nobody can restore a trashed civic in 1 day 👍 how do i know? I been doing this for 17 years with and without a dealers licence
Great video! ive always wanted to buy auction cars and fix them up whether for myself or to flip, but im unsure of where to start and how to make this a career
As an automotive frequent seller I will promise everyone that more little details you fix or repair will greatly increase your profits. It's not at all scamming people. It's taking care of everything the previous owners didn't. Remember... cheaper cars are never perfect 👌
