Big facts. His energy the whole video was negative and egotistical.. there was nothing humbling about him.. and he Continuously contradicted himself. What we witnessed was someone that doesn’t think outside the shoebox... money is way different now days Logan Paul spent a million on a Pokémon card.. it’s not shocking that someone would spend it’s 100k on a very rare friends and family shoe..?? It’s 2021 and Dj Clark Kent had a mindset of a 80s sneaker head. 🤦🏾♂️
His take about Richard Branson being able to solve the entire country's "hunger" problem is a complete falsehood. Also, couldn't he just as easily solve the hunger problem in his immediate neighborhood, using the same logic. Every time he's on a Complex show, he just comes off as a negative snob.
I think you miss the humor in it. They’re all friends. When Clark gives an answer, it starts with kind of shrugging off the whole idea, then he slowly gives an extremely nuanced response with a legit answer by the end. The Richard Branson take was not great (not sure why an Australian dude should solve American hunger), but no ones perfect.
So I’ll say this. CK is super knowledgeable and really has some great things to say that I really respect. But he’s a complete gatekeeper. He’s literally trashing anyone who isn’t him and like two other guys. Hes so full of his own hot air that he is really hard to listen too. The most disingenuous “humble” dude there is.
You couldn't of worded that any better brotha, I was feeling the same exact way...If you not good at reading people you would think this man is the most humble person...but I can read between it..and you worded it perfectly
I think "the game" has gone wayward because voices like Clark and Russ have been diluted by people chasing hype and clicks. So it's good he'll be a regular on the show 👏🏾 P.S. I've been needing a US7.5 of the Scarr AF1's since they touched the Gram, so if anyone in the comments has a pair... 👀
Genuinely one of the most condescending, arrogant people in sneaker culture. Almost every sentence is followed by a contradiction to the previous sentence. He's got jokes but he's so mean-spirited.
My favourite contradiction is when he bemoans a culture that “needs a new thing every 8 seconds” but then says everyone is talking about something from two years ago. It’s like, sorry, did you want people to move on to other things or not?
I could listen to Clark talk about sneakers all day long. The appreciation he has, the knowledge, the work he has put it, and the sense of joy that Brendan, Welty, and Joe get from just talking to him proves that he's one of the GOATs.
Newbie here. I'm learning everything about sneakers from you. You are the most tolerable bunch to watch. Love the sneaker show and former Everyday struggle show!
I LOVE how he only speaks on sneakers in his experience…..no matter how many times they tried to bait him, his experience was his experience. He likes what he likes and only gets shoes he likes. REAL sneakerhead shit
Just a recommendation: you should put the names of the shoes each person is wearing in the intro when you show them or in the description. Awesome show as usual!
I couldn't be more excited by the compliments I received while carrying my *AMZLV* bag. This is a true statement piece that will always be happy with any girl.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Welty's comment about not getting a good night's sleep in a hotel... Have kids, bro. When you can get away with the wife and sleep without any interruptions... then you'll feel it 🤣😂🤣🤙🏽
Tailgating is still a thing. The 7 Line Army is known for their tailgating meets. Also, big shoutout to Scotty from Utopia Bagels in Whitestone, Queens. Best bagel spot in NYC.
I'm from Texas, and even though I don't understand alot of the slang/shoe references from NY, I TOTALLY respect and loved this vid. This.....IMO,(from the standpoint of a Texan), was such a NY themed episode, and im all for it. Between the AF1s and Timbs....bro, this was dope af!!!!!!🙏🏾💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What’s the point in having them if you’re not going to wear them!! Yes lad, never done a U-turn on a man faster than I have while watching this. What a gent! ❤️ Clark Kent.
I completely agree and appreciate Clark's critique of the top 10 list. I feel like when the lists get put together it feels like there are too many factors trying to be considered and included rather than just a list of the BEST 10 sneakers. I commented on the top 10 video saying that the Salahe Walk on Waters NEEDED to be in the top 10 list if not top 5.
I'm from Brooklyn and have ate at Scarrs many times. I now live in the midwest and am still a og sneaker head (54) years old. But any ways im part of a sneaker RU-vid group and one of the guys in the group found a pair of the af1 scarrs at burlington for 60.00. My question is if u found a pair what would u do? Sell, keep or what??
Shoes that ppl hate on you but you love? My answer 🤔 is the Jordan 4 spizikes the black and red and green pair to me those are super fire ❤️🔥😶🌫️ one of my all time favorites frfr
What up tho. Great episode, love when DJ Clark Kent is a guest, love even more that you guys have made him a recurring guest. I guess its the only way this generation is going to be able to remember him. #winning
