2 cans chicken with broth
Cream of mushroom
1 box stuffing mix
1/4 cup milk (water ok)
1 1/2 cups water
Skillet corn
-------
1 can corn with juice
2 TBS butter
1ts sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2ts pepper
1/2 c milk
2 ts flour
Peach Cobbler Dump Cake

Yellow cake mix
Peaches in heavy syrup

I realize how lucky we were growing up. My mom was an amazing cook. My dad gave her a grocery budget. She bought cheap meat and cooked it in her pressure cooker making it so tender. She even cook potatoes in there with gravy. When she had extra money she bought us things from the thrift store on base or on the economy.

I have an easy cobbler. It is 1 cup flour, 1tsp baking powder, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 cup milk,mix well. Melt 1/2 stick marg or butter in bottom of pan in 375 oven. When melted pour batter on top. Then add 1large can or 2 small with juice on top. Bake until cake part is done. I usually add a little cinnamon to batter. Simple and been doing for year. Pineapple is great could use fruit cocktail also. Thank you for you show.

I love that you did this. It's absolute proof that we don't need to be filthy stinkin rich or have a lot of resources at our disposal to make a healthy and tasty full meal plus dessert. I don't have any dollar stores or walmarts near me, but I do live in an area great for foraging, and you gave me some ideas for a mock-broccoli salad. I'm off to watch your Walmart vid now!

I just read that dollar tree was going to raise some of there things will go up to 7 dollars especially food..you Easter dinner from dollar tree looks so good lots of food for your family... As a diabetic, I'd leave off the biscuits and count the stuffing, cake mix, and rice as carbs and add another can of chicken or get some cheese to go on top of the broccoli casserole. I really enjoy your videos!!!

You can do it, Brooke! Invited my only child and her husband for Easter dinner. It’s the 27 and Easter is four days out. I’m no spring chicken and my days are going by so fast, wanted to make a special day… Thanks to your encouragement I’ve a well stocked pantry and can make exactly what you’re doing now. Even if I’m vetoed for Easter I’m making anyway! Blessed holiday to you and the boys ❤❤

No State in the United States of America should be charging taxes on food it's just not right.!! If they want to tax something try soda, cake, candy, alcohol, etc but not the staples like meat, potato's, milk, eggs, cheese, bread etc most people know how to make sweet's at home I don't believe that Arizona has taxes on food but they do on everything else !!

That meal looked awesome! I cook my green beans all the way down to barely any liquid also. Pretty soon when Dollar Tree goes up again, it will be cheaper at just about any store for some of their items! They are going to price themselves out of business!!

You can really save by celebrating with an Easter brunch meal instead of a heavy dinner. Even from DT, you could do pancakes or waffles with choc chips, or a sauce from their frozen berries. Serve with sausage. Cupcakes with white frosting as a brunch dessert. Simplify, and the fewer ingredients, the better.

I put my potatoes in the Instapot. Makes it so easy to peel. Also, I chop up my yolks with a potato masher, the kind with the square holes. Makes everything a breeze and is very creamy❤

👍👍 for Walmart video. I live in Texas and I have both a Walmart and a Combined Dollar tree Family dollar store. Both stores are 5 minutes from my house. Unfortunately I am disabled and car wreck totalled my car. I will need to be using Walmart delivery for my grocery needs from now on so I need your ideas for Walmart please. I don’t think I would depend on dollar tree as a main source of food but it is good to be able to make do with what you have. I buy some of their spices and I keep a container of the shelf stable milk for backup.The cobbler/ dump cake looked delicious.

You also could’ve done the ham trimmings in the green mains that would be good too and you could also like fry them up in a pan with some honeycup mustard oh man
