i bought one in 2017 but i took the pick up out of 88 mexican strat made in mexico and i had a bridge out of 2004 american deluxe just for kicks i put them in my harley benton but mine is vt series and let me tell you this guitar is a beast, also it had this funny looking color like natural wood didnt like it so i changed the color sand it down real good and painted got a can of paint from home depot 10.00 dollars a can first time painting guitar and it turned out amazing, i owned 7 guitars this one was cheapest but sound the best i think i made it a custom its a beast

bought the same color as yours, only one disadvantage for me is the cable that comes with it, but what you expect from 150$ guitar. i'm lovin my 62st

I bought this model à few days ago, and the guitar is really great...It s like a 450 bucks guitar. I bought it for a custom project and i think that i will let it original.

Anyone know if its routed for a humbucker?

I really want Harley Benton to make a higher quality modern strat and tele style guitar with features similar to my Fusion II which I really love. By "modern" I mean current standard versions, higher quality modern parts on a traditional style: Stainless Steel frets Roasted maple neck Tusq nut Locking tuners Wilkenson bridge I am fine paying $350 (US) for a higher quality instrument from them. I don't need so many $150 guitar choices that are "good enough" but not great.

I own one of these guitars, Harley Benton ST-62 VT Series and after reading the comments below I would like to point out: - ST-62 is not trying to replicate any Fender Strat from 1962. If so, is the Harley Benton ST-20 trying to replicate a Fender Strat from 1920?!?!?! Stop talking without knowing what you're talking about. - Many people complained about Quality Control on Harley Benton guitars in the past, some were excellent, some were garbage. There was no consistency, so for this third collection of guitars Harley Benton really stepped up their game and put out much better QCed guitars. - For 140 euros (150 dollars, give or take) I got a ST-62 with roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets, vintage looking tuners (one of the VT Series characteristics) and tusq nut. My guitar sounds like a Strat, plays like a Strat and feels like a Strat, but of course, it's not a Fender. However, I rather have this Harley Benton than the Squier equivalent for this price range. For me, the only Squiers worth having are the Classic Vibe ones.

Sounds more like a Jazzmaster. Doesn't really sound super Strat-y to me

I bought a Harley Benton ST a few years ago. I promptly hung it on my wall until I can fix it. Didn't send it back, since it took over a month after ordering to get it in the first place. In fact it may be responsible for causing me to just give up trying to learn to play. Fret ends are sharp as crap, nut is cut too deep, frets aren't exactly level, neck has too much bow, and the output jack is garbage. I'll never do business with them again! It's going to cost me a good bit to fix, and I can't afford to just go buy a good guitar.

It doesn't look like a '62 Strat. It doesn't sound like a '62 Strat. It doesn't play like a '62 Strat. So the answer is a massive NO.

Lol no, not even close to Fender. The ONLY way you would ever think that is if you have never held a Fender guitar in your own hands, not to mention something in a 62 spec. Come on, man.
