True! Lol similarly after upgrading to a new phone last yr I realized that my old one was perfect for tht given how bad the camera had gotten over the yrs
I bought a "PANASONIC Lumix fz82" for 200€ last year. Records in 4k, 120fps and has 60X zoom. Yeah its not a cinematic camera or a sony aiii but it sure does get the job done. I got my first fixed job as a video producer for a local gym and im using it until i save a few bucks to upgrade. i gotta say its great for the price. Forgot to mention that you also have RAW files and touch screen. I really think that nothing beats that camera at that price range
I have the U.S. version of that camera. Even though I “upgraded” to a G85 I would prefer the FZ80 if I ever need to get a long range shot on a project.
@@JolonDann yeah true. From the 15th floor i can record license plates from cars passing by the street xD i was really mind blown when i tried it for the first time
I ended up getting the fz300 after debating a long time which one to get. I'm very happy with it. 25-600mm optical but can do 1200mm smart zoom which still looks pretty good. They're both cool cameras for the price.
I always complain about the camera I use, but after seeing you use it, the proverb like "it's not about the tool but the person using it" has become evident, you can even make commercials and cinematic videos with it. you really inspire me!
Try THE NIKON B500 COOLPIX. Great camera. The natural zoom is 900m. EXCELLENT on a sunny day. Taking photos of people, animals, objects in sunlight with the sun on the subject ... the shots are so good. Indoor pics are so-so. But if you doing a paid job to photograph people outside on a sunny day, the camera is a beast.
Get an Sony a5100 it’s about 2x the price of this camera, but it’s an mirrosess so you can buy different lenses, the 1080 looks sharp, the af is pretty fast for the price, it has an flip up screen, and it’s around 300 with the kit lens
@@MobileFilmmaking the only bad thing about the camera for the price is that there is no mic jack or hotshoe if you spend 100 more you can get an a6000 with an hotshoe and get one of the Sony pesific mics
as long as a camcorder has a CCD imaging sensor it will have the VHS look. you just gotta deinterlace the old ones' footage via interpolation. and then increase the saturation by 25%. and then conform the framerate to 60fps (50 in Europe)
The video quality with a little work doesn’t look too bad!! It’s also a good reminder that your gear doesn’t need to be expensive to look good. Thanks for everything!
Love the idea of using cheaper equipment to make something look older or “vintage” rather than trying to do it in post. This is a great option for that!
My first camera was a Sony 30x zoom and I still love it for photography and because it is small to take it to any place, also you can take macro photography if you zoom in like 3x :)
This video was a blast to watch . 159$ camera and it was still so much fun to see the shots you got with it . I think this really shows that gear is just a small part videos and great video are made by great creators , not great gear .
@@Andy-mr6yb I mean, a *fresh* tape on a properly cleaned machine doesn't look so bad. The issue is of course that most people didn't have fresh tapes or cleaned machines. It's still something people are nostalgaic for, even if this is technically an idealized idea of the warm glow many of these tapes and tubes had. Of course, the tapes also looked a lot better on a CRT than they would on an LCD screen so there's also that.
When I first got into photography, I thought having a massive optical zoom range is a good thing to have given the phone camera's poor digital zoom quality. After a few months, I realized how bad these cameras look comparing to a modern phone camera, and they are using similar-sized sensors. But the camera has a much smaller aperture that it becomes a lot harder to get a clean handheld photo. I'm glad this particular one is reasonably priced for the performance.
Awesome content! Idk what happened to the InstaOne 360 r giveaway. But still, I’d love to get that pocket cam to shoot music videos. Greetings from Ecuador!
I like the camera, it's kodak at the end of the day I see it as a lomography type camera. A nostalgic digital camera and what's more nostalgic than your parents zooming into everything
Thank you for sharing your tutorial and review, I have just purchased this camera still playing around and getting used to it so far looks great, I bought it especially for to take photos of my daughters wedding, hopefully I will get good results, thank you again.
Giraffes have blue tongues because their necks are so long that they needed a protective coat in order to protect their tongues from sun burns as they eat leaves off of trees.
Have you heard of the Nikon P900? (p1000 is the newer model) but i have one, and its a 2000mm equiv :D ((also ide love to be entered into the osmo giveaway!! I skate, so stabilizing footage is kinda difficult lol))
I have a p1000 I have been using at trails and parks n stuff. A lot of people online complain about the 16 megapixel images but no other camera can get as close to birds or other animals or craters on the moon. Definitely one of my favorite cameras. RAWs look good too
While watching one of your videos, I wanted to take this time to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. From the bottom of my heart. God Bless....Jason
Oh I’d love the pocket 2 especially since I have a new baby cousin I feel like it would be a great size to capture her early life moments with it’s quick startup
I would probably use that for certain nostalgic shots. Like a character telling a quick childhood story or home movies from the 80s. The quality of the camera just gives me that vibe and doesn't use effects/filters to achieve that look.
Try the Canon power shot 350 I think it's called its kind of like this camera however has a better picture, and more zoom! Plus 200× digital zoom and still has acceptable image quality
Gene, if you want a cheap, super zoom camera, just know, Canon PowerShot SX540 HS. It’s a 200$ 50x zoom camera with Suuuuuuper stabilization, you NEED to try it
the lofi with the grade in the plane super worked in that montage "another time" type of way. It's kinda one of those catch 22s though because the kind of person who's good enough with color grading to make it work probably already has better gear and the kind of person who's just starting out and can't afford the better gear probably doesn't know how to color grade like that.
I liked your on-the-fly sponsorship segment! And walking out of frame was perfect. You could have different walk out of frame styles (exit stage right, stage left, Ferris Bueller's ending at movie, looney tunes style, etc.) What about doing a segment on reputable camera websites for used camera gear? Or detecting counterfeit or gray market cameras? There are deals to be had (ebay for instance), but I keep seeing repeat listings of camera gear that was supposedly sold. I'm interested in getting the Sony A6600, A7III or A7SIII (preferred), but they are all still very pricey. I would consider Canon since I'm originally a Canon user with lenses and such, but things like IBIS, unlimited recording, etc.
Hi! I have tried more interesting variant. Canon 650d ml firmware and 18-135 stm lens. Yes it's not 24mm wide. BUT! You can use 4x zoom crop mode without loss ditalisation. And 5x crop zoom with 720p raw 10bit sharp, stabilized, hybrid autofocus. Or fit 70-300 = about 1500mm! Try it! It is fun! I recommend.
