Thanks for the videos, will have to keep an eye out for you in August, have been to every Pebble Beach Concours but one since 1966. I didn't have much time to see this auction preview so this video is much appreciated.
I just found your RU-vid channel today and watched your video at the Retro French show. I love how your videos are produced. You do an excellent job showing the cars which I imagine is pretty difficult with so many people around. Thanks for letting a Central Florida guy see what is going on around the West coast..and other places I can't afford to go to 😂
Wonderful coverage, Richard. My favs are the Alfa Villa de Este, the blue Siata and the Agnelli Boano Chrysler. Would have loved to see the champagne Packard up close, though! :)
Great work as always ! "LIKE" button has been torqued to the manufacturer's recommended specification. "CLICK". God forbid you should be running around Monterey there with a loose "LIKE" button !
Richard what a spectacular assortment of cars thank you for sharing with us ..Oh yea by the way I have that 1/18th scale model of that 1938 BMW 328 NSKK Competition Roadster sitting on my desk in my office .. Go figure 😊..
I have really enjoyed your Monterey episodes Richard. Its been the best of the best each episode and kind of a mental holiday for me. Beautiful cars, women and scenery what more could we ask for! You really impress with all the detailed knowledge you provide. I'm looking forward to your net episode Richard!
Thought I saw an Apollo GT, in several of the clips, no honorable mention? Love the '50s Italian coachwork, especially the Berlinettas, GTs, and coupes.
Hello Richard . Some of these cars were trully breath taking . I particularly appreciated the ltalian Coach built cars and in the wide scope of the price point were , in my opinion , relative bargains . ......have you changed your frontispiece ? Don't recall seeing a "low drag" "e"type . And l did see your other video .....bonkers ! Thanks Richard
impressive... thank you. ps: are you positive XKD546 is presently equipped with a wide angle head (or even semi wide)? usually the bridge between the camshafts is not like that on wide angle heads (plus the head bolts have a little bit more clearance)...
Had some great times at Amelia, Hagerty have taken over the event, so it's hard to know such direction they will take. RM Sotheby's split directions and their ModaMiami event seems headed in a better direction, let's see.
really enjoyed this professional grade work. I don't see any mystery between the values of the two versions of the short wheelbase D Jaguar XK's , the more valuable one can be used on the street, and has room for a passenger.
been looking to acquire original restored 1958 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder LWB 3.0 V12 2-Dr Grand Touring Cabriolet (LHD) . . . also interested in the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina (S1) LWB 3.0 V12 2-Dr Sports Cabriolet (LHD) . . . if available . . . please advise . . .
Some great results, some not so great. I wonder if the race cars lose out because their history is over glamourised? Road cars capture the spirit of the time. Race cars are really test beds for engineering. The numbers link them to specific races and if the bits have been changed out where does that leave the buyer? They don’t even have manuals to go with them!
Richard, I respectfully suggest you find someone who speaks Italian to help you with pronunciation. You do say Ferrari correctly (with a North American accent), but that's about it.
what im going to say .. please be gentle on me .. Why cant... why wouldn't manufacturers re-create the cars that are obviously selling in the gazzzillions and just install modern tech. Id love to see some of the old classic styles on the road again . To many of these beautiful cars are bought by billionares and private collectors never to see the light of day again. FINE i get that. But why wouldnt any manufacturer just re-create the classic with modern day improvements. If Im not wroing didnt ford do the GT40
I also don't care if you can't correctly pronounce Italian and French named car name/models...according to "Someone " The things people bitch about??..JMHO
Another gathering of the more money than brains club driving old car prices WAY above their true worth, and making it harder and harder for the average guy to own a nice collector car!!!!!
