So glad for this Azure Haul. I'm in the same boat. Stocking up on baking ingredients. I love love love the vegan chocolate chips. Anything with berries in the summer. But strawberry rhubarb pie is my absolute favorite near Memorial Day, 4th of July, & Labor Day because it very Summer like. In the Fall we love everything apple. 2nd favorite is pumpkin (vegan).

I LOVE Azure! However, I have found recently that Natural Grocers has been cheaper for herbs and spices when I’ve checked this summer. Also, chocolate ginger! My favorite pie since I was a child is Mincemeat pie. No one eats it in my family because of the name, but I do! I now make mini pies around the holidays and freeze them so I can have them throughout the season. They sell it in a block or in the jar. I use the None Such brand. I have made the mixture into cookies and the people I work with loved them but they heard the name and were shocked. If you try it, you will love it. It has apples and raisins and the beef and beef broth. Enjoy

My favorite pie is one that my Gram uses to make for me. It's called Poor Man's pie. Hers was milk, sugar, cinnamon, flour and butter dabs on top, baked into a lard crust. It sets up, almost like a custard pie, but with a sweet syrupy layer on the top. Chilled with a little bit of homemade whipped cream, it is just dreamy. Second would be when she would make black raspberry tarts for me, those are my favorite berries and while we had tea in the afternoon, she'd let me have a whole one all to myself. I still have her tart tins just in case I ever get a great harvest one of these years of black raspberries. ❤. Great haul! I love the ideas of rotationally shopping Azure, I'm still pretty new to my journey with them, but definitely love it. And the jars so far, are phenomenal! I am picking up 10 more cases on my order today, I'm excited to get home and start using them to can up the peaches I'll be picking up as well.

I know some of the recipes are in the seasonal cookbooks but is there a separate one for preserving also?

A great topper for ice cream, yogurt, French toast, etc. I use dark, sweet cherries (frozen works great too) & dark chocolate in mine and they are so popular with my family💚👒.

I think the glass on the canning jars looks like it has a bit of a tint to it. I do like them. I hope you can't get an electric canner, you will love it for small jobs. I'm not really a pie eater, but if I had to pick one, it would be Sour Cream Raisin with Brown Sugar Meringue.

The fermenting quick sheet is a super duper great idea. My family has really enjoyed everything that I have been making and I can't really keep up. I have things that take 2-3 weeks and things that take 3 days. With our large family we can go through one jar a meal sometimes. Do you like using the crocks for the cabbage? I have been looking into buy one. I just really like doing beets with cabbage, and then other veggies too. So I don't know how fast we would go through the basic cabbage... I am thinking it wouldn't be a "bad" date to use it by. Wanted to share that we have become in love with mixing 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 tea and it is so yummy. The other night with tacos I went to make lemonade and didn't have enough and used a few oranges and WOW was it so yummy. "Orange ADE" total rescue. I feel like I am suggesting a lot. I see you love carrots- try a carrot salad with a apple cider vinaigrette... so very yummy. If you need a recipe let me know. Such a cheap and yummy side. Last thing- What do you do to strains on clothes? I struggle with this a lot. I love the Seventh Generation stain spray- loved it but they have changed their recipe and it is not the same. I have tried SOOOOooo many things and I am not coming up with much. My favorite pie is CHERRY PIE or chess pie (however I haven't made this on before).

My dad grew up in Pennsylvania, and im sure he is the reason Ive even heard of it - ive never seen it for sale in Illinois or Colorado. However I havent pulled the trigger yet and purchased any grains. Ive been pondering but havent fit it into the budget yet. My sixth baby (a girl) was born April 16th, we are Colorado people - i recognized the Azure driver you pointed out in a video with a thank you bundle. Such a lovely idea! Thank you for your videos. They are so encouraging, idea inducing, and i love seeing your whole family get into the videos. (I was homeschooled myself, oldest daughter, and I see myself in your daughter.... way way back in the 90s.) I spent some of my day putting my cupboards in order using quart containers with labels. I've missed your video's (like most folk here)! I love me some pie, though I tend to stay away from fig pie (a bit grainy for me) and pies that I'm allergic to. But other than those, I would have to say one of my favorite is pumpkin pie, peach cobbler, apple pie, or even chocolatemousse pie. Or we can go the savory route: Swiss & Gruyere cheese with turkey Bacon & sausage quiche OR shepherd pot pie OR chicken & mushroom pie OR salted onion, mushroom & cheese pie! As you can tell, pies come in all sorts of flavors, however they are almost all delicious! My friends & family can attest to that!!!
