Genuine question, do you truly run into people or do you find all the vloggers in NYC and help them promote their channels by doing these shorts on them?
Dude, switch out that mattress. My too soft mattress was killing my back. Switched to firm and added a medium thick pillow to add a little cloud-like feeling, and I’ve been in aligned back bliss ever since!
What's an ass-turtle? Is it like a new species of turtle, I gotta look it up. I wonder if it has a gigantic ass or just attacks people's ass in some way. What an interesting creature that would be; craaizy crazy world
@@niganools1502 no turtle. I clearly said turtle, why you bringing dogs up. That's the problem with dog people. Guys i know they're cute as heck but you can't be indulging into that this much
@@nya2823 fair point but that's not what i meant. I meant that in a figurative sense where “at any cost” means “under any circumstances.” I hope you understood my point.
@@TheCkhutton12 Not everyone can afford that, especially in places where property is $750k+ & requires 20% down. And before you say "Live in a cheaper apartment while you save-up...", she's already only paying $1,875/mos, how much cheaper can she get? If she somehow finds a place to live in NYC for $1k/mos, it'll take well over a decade to save the $150k at $875/mos. For that reason, renting simply makes sense for a lot of people even if the price seems high to some.
Bro I barely ever see my cool aunt:( it’s been like 2 years since I’ve seen her. And before I last saw her it had been 4 years since i had seen her. Sorry if I don’t make sense I’m bad at explaining
I don't understand the lure of NYC. Especially nowadays. Crow! I have tenants for 164 acre, 5 bedroom house, barn and stables, 5 outbuildings, the back 40 acres back onto the Canadian Rockies. I charge them $800 a month. Just knowing I have good people maintaining my land is more than worth the low rent to me. To each his own, I guess.
Rents are higher but income is too. Plus, living in NYC, there are so many career opportunities, interactions with so many interesting people, Broadway, music venues, comedy clubs, sports teams/arenas, the immense diversity of excellent restaurants and bars, the museums, Central Park, lectures, coffee bars, etc. I love what you describe too but as you say, to each his own. For me I can see maybe living where you are too, but maybe down the road. 😊
@@PS-qb8rm For sure! What would the world be if we were all the same? Yep, some amazing incomes in NYC. 40 yrs of working in the oil field industry, and raising world-class Reining horses was pretty damn profitable as well! Haha! I was able to retire at 50. Hard work, long hours, but so worth it to spend time with and spoil my grandkids. They call my place Farm Farm Away. Have a wonderful evening. Yay! you can sleep in tomorrow!

@ffhgu 07 in New York City especially in Manhattan that is a really reasonable priced apartment unless she splits it 50/50 with a partner or something because she said in the video “we” because apartments like those with all that space and especially that view is north of 3.5k in NYC and specifically Manhattan
well shes the highest IQ individual he bumped into. I wouldn't be surprised if she spent 20 hours of research and cold calling to find this place. I'll find a girl like this and marry her lol
@ffhgu 07 in nyc this is great lol there are like 10k apartments that are worse than these. also cuz most other apartments are like a good 3k and the view is a brick wall, the place is infested, etc. for less than 2k this is an impressive find.
Just to clarify, she splits the cost of the rent for the entire apartment with her roommate. There is another bedroom not shown. This place is actually around $3700+
If you guys are wondering why the Apartment is so cheap, is the $1875 is what SHE pays. There are 2 people in the apt. so it's actually 2x that price . $3750... do you guys even pay attention to the video?
She’s lying about the price I grew up in Brooklyn paying 2500 a month in the slums and that’s wherever you go out there……she has to be paying at least 3500-4500
@@ItzGameTimeeee she probably has a roommate or partner or something to pay the other half of the rent. I agree I don’t believe this only $1865, it’s perhaps that x2. Unless this is the Bronx, but it’s obviously not.
I was thinking the same thing. 3.5k per month min. Unless she meant the flex space is also rented by another part for another 1875, them it begins to become reasonable
She got a crazy deal during the height of the pandemic, so like 2020. And I do believe that’s half of the total rent since she splits it with her housemate, don’t remember tho. She’s a RU-vidr and has a video on how she got this spot.
I can recommend to build an bed frame using galvanized square steel and then covering it up with some eco friendly wood veneers and put a soft mattress above it to make use of the space in the apartment efficiency
Nah this girl just got an insane deal. Normally $1875 a month in NY would get you basically a closet (not kidding) and you'd be lucky to get an alley view. That corner bedroom and view are fucking insane, really amazed she pays less than $5K or so (the flex wall helps a lot I'm sure). Btw I'm in rural South Carolina right now and $1400 barely gets your basic "college freshman, paper-thin walls in a building they threw up in two weeks"-type place down here, and the cost of living for this area is wayyy on the lower end of the country. Everyone's just getting their asses kicked by rent right now, mostly from all these greedy assholes buying up every bit of real estate they can and then renovating and jacking up rent. The whole goddamn population is getting gentrified right out of our own country right now... So I def feel your pain 😭
Yep you gotta really look all over the whole country for the best value. I’m currently paying 1200 in Las Vegas and it doesn’t even feel worth it. But then I see Buffalo, NY rents at like 3x this amount and they’re freezing their ass off right now so I’m sure they don’t feel it’s worth it either.
@@P38-o1h yeah I was thinking something similar, like maybe he only shows people who got really lucky with rent controlled flats, or they don't always say how many roommates they really have or something... It's definitely not a realistic representation of NYC real estate though, people be like "yeah I pay $2500/mo for this 3K sqft Central Park West apt!" 😂
I could tell you unequivocally that any New Yorker watching this video is questioning how she could possibly have gotten an apartment like this for only $1875 per month
guys ain't "snoozing" on chic vibes they just ain't simps and a cu(k like you are. You don't got no (game) typing about "chic vibes" on RU-vid you cornball fruit
@@Michael-cv5wksince when is complimenting creepy? You can tell a lot about a person in 30 seconds. She’s well spoken, has a youtube sub plaque, and can afford an expensive apartment in new york. I would say she’s probably not dumb. 😂

@@null9323 just not an American. The rest of the world cringes and squirms at you people entering homes and touching couches and beds with dog shit lined outside shoes. And I love the States otherwise, but that thing is the worst.
Let's be clear. $1875 is what she pays for her space. The other person has a higher-paying job and rents half of the room--because there is no way that spot is affordable.
I can't get to the part where she shows her apartment. I'm MORTIFIED that a person would PAY THAT. Then they have to go outside and be in NEW YORK CITY. THAT IS MY NIGHTMARE. UGHHHHHH. That's disgusting. I pay 525/month for rent. I probably have a much nicer place.
Man what?!! You genuinely thought all these strangers were just saying yes to another stranger touring their apartment and filming it, all in the spur of the moment??? Obviously every single one is staged. Every apartment is unrealistically clean, plus they’re all so comfortable and easy going on camera.
Yeah..ive become a bit sus lately. It just seems odd that so many ppl are willing to tell a ttl stranger what they pay for rent (but then, Im genX & grew up when that wouldve bn a personal (?) that would have bm rude to ask & no one revealed such things. Plus, Im FAR from being a slob, but these apts are almost always "company clean". I guess its possible he gives em a few mins to company clean real quick.
The “flex wall,” means they made a 1 bdrm apartment into a two bedroom. So she has a roommate and they split rent, or she pays a portion. Thats is not the full amount. It’s not uncommon for people to rent large-ish one bedroom apartments, and use a flex wall to make another bedroom.
I love how everyone in New York just has immaculately cleaned houses without even a dirty coffee cup in the sink all the time. Such eerily clean people…
that's so crazy... in my country with that money you can apply for 3 morgages for 3 apartments with 3 rooms 2 bathrooms and one kitchen each and they are modern like brand new, and the best part... you can still have some money left like 195$ witch you can live on for like 1-4 weeks depending on your life-style!
I'm floored at everyone thinking these videos aren't staged. Unless these girls just dumb as hell and let any random person with a camera in their apartment.
It’s weird to ask a stranger ‘can I tour your apartment’ but she out weirded him by dropping the ‘after I wash my turtle’ line. It took my a while to fully comprehend what the hell she said
@@taztaz79 but not in nyc. That’s pretty affordable in ny. I live in the expensive town in Wyoming and pay 2700 for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. And it’s nothing like this.
For those wondering- A flex is when there is a makeshift wall to create a bedroom space, sometimes out of a shared space like the living room. that’s what “cuts the rent in half”. It’s not a real wall though, so the “bedroom” has a little less privacy. But this one looks better than others that I’ve seen in NYC!
