Thanks for watching my tour of 20 Elliott St in South of Broad in Charleston SC.

The house is ruined. People that want to destroy the roof of a two hundred year old building should not own them.

I bet I have passed this home may times while visiting....This place, even though with the price tag,...has been furnished in a warm and comfortable way......3 cheers to the decorator!!!

I love historic homes. Where I live, everything is newer.

Come visit Charleston, some of the really old and historic homes have been converted into museums.

Kitchen on ground floor and dining room one floor up. Show stopper.

You have to remember the lifestyle 200+ years ago. They had the help downstairs cooking, while they entertained upstairs.

Is there an elevator

I believe there was only a dumb waiter not a people elevator.

Here’s a tip - keep your waving hands by your side. There’s a reason actors do this - it’s very distracting.

Thanks for the tip! But that’s just how I talk, I use my hands.

Would rather have seen more of the house than your face all the time. Just sayin...
@laurie4275

Agreed. We didn't actually tour the house - we just flew through it too fast to see it.

Terrible editing - it gave me vertigo at its warp speed - and all the while it was blurred like an 8mm film from the 1950's. If it sold I'm sure it would get a major re-do.

WOW, love the history of this home! I can't believe how old this house is..
@TheBillOlson

Thanks for watching. This is a “newer” home compared to other pre-civil war homes in the same neighborhood too!

Nope! Too much climbing.
@TheBillOlson

Yeah, these old Charleston homes are usually one room wide and tall.

I enjoyed the tour, Bill. Thanks for including all of us. Stunning home. I thought to myself, this is my kind of a real estate agent. . . who could possibly pass up on a glass of champagne. I certainly wouldn't. I have just subscribed. Cheers, Darryl

They have ruined the back of these buildings.

How so?
@Dak36

@@TheBillOlson I lived in the attached house. The addition of the roof bar and other structural changes weakens the integrity and historical fiber of the houses. Just because the BAR cannot see the back does not mean the changes are good.

That home is worth every penny I would spend $30,000 in the backyard though tbh.
@TheBillOlson

Back yard does need some work…but that roof top is where I would spend a lot of time…except in the dead heat of summer.

The kitchen would have to be gutted and a kitchen styled for an older home installed. Why buy an old house and destroy the character. They need to move into a new house.

Thanks! It's such an amazing property. Only downfall is that since it's so old there is ZERO parking.
