Highlights from the Gardens Poker Championship in the Hawaiian Gardens, California. Started with 257 players and a $10,000 buy-in, now down to 6 remaining.
@@rewind3334 I think it's because since there was a Queen Pair, the cards were: Tuan - King pair , queen pair Kevin - 5 pair , queen pair Tuan had a stronger pair. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new to poker 😅
He's hella entertaining. Tuan: "6 ends it, that's no fun" Other dude: "What? No it doesn't, he has a gutter." Tuan: "Oh yeah...THIS GUY!!" a few hands later Tuan: "SHI...drawing dead." (he has 4 outs) What a miracle run lmao. Sometimes you just have a horseshoe in your crack.
@@latifismail8621 It's highest you have using all available 5 cards on the table. So while they both had 'nothing', Tuan had the Ace in his hand, it is the highest card versus the other guy.
his bad play of all in with q-6 will be in his memory forever.Bad luck in a big touranment final table is so terrible but bad play is much worse experience no one can forget for lifetime.
@@26bisket :)) watch again bud. if he didn't all in with Q-6 back to back he had way more chips and only lose 1/4 of his chips with 3-5 and still be chip lead could easily continue. he made himself crippled with 2 bad all ins with Q-6 earlier. he confessed this in his interview too
Tuan entertaining (which is a rarity these days) but far too impatient and impulsive when it really mattered. Marcus, by contrast, has the personality of a cardboard box (even in victory) but will make a lot of money playing as he did there.
That Q6 suited all in call is ridiculous, no preflop action (raise reraise )so Markus could have any AX combo or any pair . I can call all in with suits or suited connector upto 2-5 BB not 15bb .
Im so sorry, im just learning how to play the more advanced poker but at about 14:00 why did markus not loose if he went all in? If someone could be so kind and explain it to me i would be very grateful!!:))
Luck is one factor, but knowledge and intuition are two more important things. a math major professor may use statistics model to calculate and guess, and a professional porker player may use simple or logical guessing or intuition. Friendly remind it , don’t try to gamble and win if u are not professional people. Luck is only occupied a very small part of the game. It’s very dangerous if you believe that it’s only lucky and try to gamble. I like to watch gambling games, but I will never play it. My statistics professor said that: statistics is from game
2:16 I'm new to poker. Can someone help me understand? The little guy on the sidelines going on about how the hand played out, is he reacting this way because he thought they both played too cautiously? Like if he had the pocket kings or queens, he'd have been more aggressive?
@@Chromiumism Okay, so that's what I was wondering. He was basically clowning them for both being too cautious with what he considers monster hands, right? Again, I'm new. 🙂
I ever end up at a final with 2.5 mil up for grabs, i'm taking that sucker down. I quit poker 10 years ago but it's just like riding a bike, unless you're Joe Biden.
Queen on the river gave Tuan 2 pair. Which is better than the 2 pair Kevin had. Pair of Kings and pair of Queens beats pair of Queens and pair of fives.
@@Shl107 yes it’s irrelevant. In no limit poker it is best two pair. Since the queen came on river and Tuan had a queen in hand his two pairs Trump Kevin’s 2 pair and the low pair does not count.
@@transneas.a.1740 If the river doesnt pair anything then it would be 2 pairs vs 1 pair of kings. But if a two came out that would make another pair so it would be 2v2 and the kings dude wins
Because Tuan had 2 pair king high, the second pair was the queens on the board, Kevin had a pair of fives and queens, and Tuan’s kings were higher than the queens, so he won. The queen on the river gave tuan 2 pair, making his two pair higher.
