Glad to see back at it! Great session and I can't believe he folded AK. It was nice of him to share his thought process on that hand. Thanks for the content!
I've watched 4 of your vlogs for the first time today. It sounds like you've been getting down because of some poor results (which you call a lack of interest). Just watching your play I'd characterize you as a tight (nit) weak player. You find yourself in few pots and show very little aggression at all except when you have a very strong hand - the table knows exactly what you have when you do show aggression much like the AK that folded in this hand. I have not seen you test opponents and I have not seen you play with any risk. Your bet sizing is weak and you are very predictable and play afraid. That's my take - you can of course ignore my opinion because opinions are like a$$holes - everyone has one. Good luck to you.
Absolutely love and missed this vlog... but after watching for the last 18 months or so, I can tell even in your voice you sound depleted/defeated. Hope things improve 🙏.
Glad to see you're doing better after that car accident! Missed the vlogs a lot, and I feel you there for being in a funk, but nonetheless, you have the power to get over that funk and get back to being funky!
There is definitely a place for you in the vlogger streets, you are an interesting personality and quite entertaining, go at your own pace and keep your name alive 😎
Great video! Welcome back bud! Love your videos really informative with your thought processes. As a visual learner, I actually happened to pick up a thing or two from this video alone. Ty! Keep 'em coming! Even the hands you fold and rationalize it, is great info as pretty much all other vlogs tend to exclude those hands. (I use poker vlogs to up my game, and this was hands down one of the best I've seen in a while)!
I really enjoy your videos because you play similar games to what I play. 1/3 and 2/5 and the field seems same level of talent at Jamul as my home casino

On the JT hand I would have bet a bit smaller on the river. Didn’t put the guy in AK, but his range should be a lot of 2 pair and 1 pair hands. AK can call a large bet but the rest of hands really can’t so I would target those and bet around $200.
On the J10 hand, he has such a huge range advantage. So many two pairs and sets. I think opting for a x/raise on river as opposed to turn is a bit preferable. Anything that calls a x/raise on turn is going to bet on river anyway. AP, I think an overbet is better. You have to get max value from sets. I don't think he is any more likely to fold two pair or sets with an overbet. I wouldn't feel too bad though. You just have so few, if any, bluffs on this board.
I understand you went through some tough times in the recent past. Sounds and seems your not back yet all the way. Seems like you playing a little scared poker. If I were you I would keep it at 1/2 or 1/3 until your truly feeling it, and back to your power poker self. You have true fans, as I among many are one. I hope you get through what you dealing with, and fall in love with poker again. We can tell your still struggling a but.
I think the math says call there with AK. Regardless the decision in that moment was correct . In the game that I play in folding AK in that spot long term is not profitable. Just my .02
