Vlog 112 and i'm still fully engaged in these vlogs. To have such a talent where you can create an entertaining video EVERY day is so inspirational. Your a legend Casey
Waking up every morning, these vlogs have became a routine to watch, i think with beme and the vlogs you inspire everyone watching that the only thing stopping you from what you wanna do in life, is yourself! Thanks for the vlogs Casey.
Suure... except for the part where she mocked him "Why do you always have to use your hands like that? one, two, three, four, hmm" and he just nicely replied to her.
I love Candice, she comes across as someone who'd be an awesome friend but at the same time has a great "doesn't give a crap" attitude and is very much her own person plus as you say, she's hilarious!!
Casey: I watched this video about 4 months ago wishing I had an app startup. Watching it again today with a working app to see how I can raise money and get ready for publication. Thanks for the motivation!
Is it? Mobile developers (for each platform), some servers, domain name, ssl certificate, a web developer, advertising I guess? say each one is paid $60,000.00/yr, AWS storage, 2 million dollars is at least 33 times $60,000.00/yr I wouldn't know I haven't started my own company. But it seems like a lot to me. What you use the proximity sensor to trigger the camera to record?
"The only thing in life that stands between you and everything you've ever wanted to do is doing it." - Quotes like this one is reason #17234 why I adore Casey's videos so much.
lostinabook the true answer is money!!! with out that 2 million beme will just be an idea. my dream is to own a club but i can't do it without money. you can have the best ideas and the best connections but with out money its just a dream.
JOJO SS It applies there as well "The only thing standing between you and everything you've ever wanted is money." "The only thing standing between you and the money you need to do everything you've ever wanted is to figure out a way to get it and then do it"
Right on, people don't realize this is just entertainment....Casey is cool, but how many time lapses and drone videos can you watch before you get sick of it.
Thanks for the supportive comments! And to the person that said don't quit my job....preciate that! Ur on the same page that I am right now with it as to why I haven't done it lol
TechMe0ut yeah, quit your job.. cause you're soo original the web needs just another one with a gopro camera on... like.. do not grow up.. adulthood is too mainstream...
***** I think of school as a good foundation. The purely technical knowledge you gain in high school and college can serve you later on in life, but you have to choose to use it. If you learn computer science exceptionally well, you can start your own software company like Bill Gates. If you learn about finance and economics, you can become the next Warren Buffett. Just graduating from college gets you nowhere. You have to make your own path, and that requires a will. Casey is a man with an incredible will and a great mind. That alone got him to where he is today, and that's amazing. I think if he had a college education, he could have possibly done more because he would have had a bigger base of knowledge to build on. Maybe he wouldn't have needed a business partner because he would have known about tech. Who knows. I think it's important not to underestimate education because it does matter.
The man takes time outta his day every single day to talk to people on the streets and is always responding to comments, tweets and reading fan letters. All the people insinuating he doesn't care for his fans need to get outta here
I feel like the new hoverboard is so much more unconventional. It's a huge rubber tire and looks hard to control. The other one was very versatile and minimal.
Walki yea it doesnt look as easy to manoeuvre in tight spots, and looks awkward to start and stop. id say it would be able to take more abuse from casey though
Hey Casey. Been watching a lot of your vids lately, but this one in particular really hit me. I'm a small business guy myself, going through a rough patch and a few months of little/no work takes a real toll on the morale. Watching your vids about setting up your business, staying positive and not doubting yourself in failing have really helped me go out and do something, even if it's not what I dream of, it's momentum and the belief that things will get better m thanks so much. Omar from UK
Your vlogs are so incredibly inspirational. I swear that at least once or twice a week I tell someone about you and your work ethic. I get so pumped when I see a new vlog from you. So excited for you regarding Beme and big props to Matt (Tumblr is where my blogs still reside and what catapulted my own photography career - what an incredible platform). It's nice to hear about your investment journey too. Knowing a bit about it, it's great to hear someone speak from the perspective of asking for money for something so incredibly important to their in terms of a passion/career/dream.
You are inspiring: short version got sick, working on recovering and fighting for some basics stuff. You are right doing it is the path. Glad I found a funny, smart, helpful guide!
Its so weird to watch these videos knowing how little success beme had. A hard, but very valuable lesson that no matter how much effort and energy you put into your passion, it can always fail.
Daniel Rühl I’m wondering why making a deal $25,000,000 is considered as ‘fail’. Wikipedia: “On November 28, 2016, CNN announced the acquisition of Beme Inc. for a reported US$25 million.”
Durchreisender because Casey wanted it to be a platform for millions of ppl to use, and although he sold it for a lot of money I think he would’ve preferred it still be around today rather than getting shut down entirely
Candice (Candace) is a really cool person. She's got like this kind of kick ass personality.... I'd like to see her take control of the channel a bit more... See her do her job and whatever stuff she gets into.
Retirement... When you do what you love to do every day, what exactly is it we are supposed to retire from? I'll play drums, fly drones, make videos and fix computers til the day I die. And who knows what might be added to the list by then...
Donnie, I really would like to do what I love. But if I leave my 9-5 job, bills won't be paid, life will get difficult to live. How do you do what you love and still make money?
TheFreedom486 It's a risk, my friend. The secret is a low burn rate. No kids. No dogs. No new cars. Nothing fancy. I live frugally, but I live well. The paradigm started at age 17 and became a professional musician, and did exclusively that for about 15 years. I had the taste. In 1995 I got a "regular job" at Intel, and did that for 5.5 years. I enjoyed the work, but I didn't "love" it. From there, I turned hobbies into professions. Fixing computers - love it. Flying drones and photography came together as an aerial photography business. You have to decide what's important. Working hard so you can what you want a couple weeks a year? Or doing what you love so you can what you want every day of the year. My personal observation is that I have never seen a single person who regretted taking a chance on themselves, and LOTS of regrets from those who didn't. You have a great Thanxgiving.
something I find hilarious, 2:31 he threw that sign twice :D if you observe the trajectory the first time it landed on the floor and the close up it hits the table :)
You are Rich in many ways Casey. You share your life with us and we enjoy your stories... You now have a beautiful family. More and more people will support your creativity. This is one more chapter in life as you are writing/vlogging a wonderful novel.
Best Q & A EVER with Francine and Candice in it. :) It's nice to show that you DO spend time with your family even with all the work you do. There is NOTHING more impotant than family and people should know you CAN do both...just involve the family with your business or something in between. That is what we do :) It works. Hugs to you and your family. Melody
I think it's nice that Casey has such an interest in his kids. I have seen so many fathers who are disinterested and disconnected with their own children, it's really sad. So when I see a father who genuinely loves, takes an interest and is active with their child it's a refreshing feeling that makes me feel that mankind is not quite all that bad. That's not to say I haven't seen mothers not care, I've seen that as well, which is also quite unfortunate. So Casey, thanks for being a true father!

Thumbs up to the true Neistat fans that have watched every single vlog!
Casey I look up to you, at first things where tough and hard but you made something out of it. I hope one day I will understand life as much as you do.
7:37 casey's reaction so similar with his baby...lol. dropping the toy from his mouth when hearing candice's on the phone with her mom. :) made my day.
"Why don't you go to prom alone this year and if you're Prom King, I'll go with you next year." Asking for money is SO scary and venture capitalists can be sharks. Very impressed they were able to raise $2 million and excited to see the finished product!!
Ex Sponsored Skateboarder, Currently Partial Quadraplegic With Limited Abilities Due To Severe Pains Keep Up The Great Things You Do Casey , I live vicariously through your videos and i can clearly see all the time you put into your editing. I'm on a similar trajectory in launching a new online product to help change lives. Bravo to you Casey for kicking ass. Much success to you and the family.
