Just tuck the protected plug into your fairing and it stays out of the way. Good job G.

I did that after covering with electrical tape. I ordered the wireless mount as well so no more plug in and out.

When it comes to riding mates. Gil don’t fool around. These Cats are some serious super slab burners and Apex Predators. We do, know how you like to ride Gil. 😂 Scalpel like through metro area traffic at sun up. 😮 Excellent fix! Smart man. Ride safe and often. ATGATT.

Nice solution for the mount. You need to get the wireless charging head from quad lock so you don’t have to plug in a cable to charge all the time. I just got one recently and love it.

Does this require the purchase of a special charging phone case?

@@GBeWinginItyou have the regular quad lock case that you use for your current quad lock mount, right? That’s all you need. It’s the same connection.

If the Connected ride app is running on the phone display will the wonder wheel still control the app now the cradle module is removed. Cant find any video of the connected ride app but navidated by the wonderwheel with the cradle removed. Am thinking to remove the small scetion of Nav Prep and place under the plastic to retain the wonder wheel function with the app. I understand the bike TFT with the wonder wheels still works. Cheers in advance

Great question! I stopped using the connected ride app because it would drop my music and nav connections running on my iphone when in use via the wonder wheel. What a hassle it was. I do not miss it and hope that BMW's future navigation integrated with CarPlay.

What extra options do you get by buying and using the CR cradle or not? I don't get it?

Agreed. That’s another reason why I no longer consider BMW’s cradle. In time all manufacturers should use CARPLAY.

I can with the phone and helmet paired to the bike and the connected ride app open. My music app appears and I can pause, forward etc. limited but useful.

What makes me sad is you have over 500 views (showing) and about 30 likes (showing). But from experience I know on some accounts when a viewer uses a smartphone, or PC without the algorithm filter removed, RU-vid only lets a certain amount of views/likes/dislikes information viewable for public consumption. Sad.
