I think in see the difference in the markers that work or don't with the machine. It's (I think!) the length ofnfelt tip that extends ij n the marker. If you were able to pull the felt tips out JUST A LITTLE, I wonder if that would help?

"and you lick them" I have found that you get the best results when you wet a paper towel with water and hold in on the temporary tattoo

Lol what they don't tell you is that it needs white underneath it. The gradient pictures are done with white underneath them, probably with a real spray kit. It's totally unfair to the buyer.

My niece and nephew had tattoo kit few years ago, if I remember right it was markers and stencils and some glitter. It did worked surprisingly well and those tattoos last almost week, well depending where you put them. Kids had really fun to put some tattoos on me and even draw some freehanded and I really enjoyed seeing them so happy :D

You were literally NEVER meant to LICK temp tattoos to apply them. The instructions have always said to hold a wet towel or rag until the tattoo was thoroughly wet all the way through... And then slowly peel away from the corner. At least you licking them explains why they never worked well for you! LMFAO 🤣

Have you ever had Zebra gum? I don't remember the actual name, but the wrapper had temporary tattoos. There was also (I think) Fruit Roll up had tongue tattoos too

You… lick… nonononono, honey. You’re supposed to wet a rag and put it on to soak the paper on your arm. Then, once the paper has bent to the shape of where you want the temp tat, you leave it there for about half a minute to a minute until it dries enough to remove the paper without the art sticking to it. Edit: Generally the sopping- but not dripping- rag has to be on for about the same amount of time that you leave it off to dry, so thirty seconds to a minute on, thirty seconds to a minute off before removing the back paper.

My dad got me this exact kit about 10 years ago when I was 6, and all the markers worked in the machine just fine, but after some time I just started using the markers themselves and not the machine

I would highly recommend trying to use tweezers to pull the stencils off. Maybe it will make it slightly easier to get them off the paper backing without feeling like your risking or completely losing so many details?

My guess is that the ones on the box were stamped with actual face paint, the type you use for face painting kids around Halloween. They are much more opaque and could absolutely be used together with those stencils to create such vibrant "tattoos"

As a young teenagegirl me and my friends painted fake tattoos on each other with permanent markers 😂😂 not the best for your skin, but it lasted for some days before we had to redo them, and by drawing them like that we had completely freedom to choose the designs ourselves 😂

Bro, try some soap. I don't think you'll need a scrubber if you use some soap instead of just lightly wiping water over it. Especially if you use soap and a washcloth. That's not excessive, and I'm sure it'd work without much effort at all.

honestly, that "tattoo" kit is trash, because the machine is pointless, since you can color it in yourself without it, as well as the inconsistency of their quality with the markers, so, like Jackie said, we're paying for 6 markers that work for the machine, a gimmicky machine, and dollar store stencils. Great job SaltE! You did great on bringing a crap kit, and bring the salt out of us!

Crayola has these DYI Decorate your own Cookies in the shape of a sugar skull. It’s tasty and there’s some frosting and candy decors. Not sure if you’d like that. ^^;

I have some recommendations: Start with light colors. If you don't start with the lightest colors give a burst of air before the start of each color on a scrap paper to clear out contamination from the previous color which will muddy your colors.

When I was little my parents bought me this fake glitter tattoo kits where you stick a stencil on where you want the tattoo and use a brush with skin glue and then put the glitter on. Worked really well and they looked really good too

When I used to do facepainting, I had these tattoo sticks of colour, they lasted for around 3 to 5 days and looked real. Can remember back late 90s having tattoo pens and I would give myself a fake one for a night out.

A trick I learned from Adam Savage for cleaning sticker decals is to leave stickers on the page and then use a xacto ( sharp pointy thing) to remove the extraneous bits then you can pull off the entire sticker and apply.

Personally, I'd be pretty mad that my kid would get excited and then immediately crushed if the colors he wanted didn't work. I'd probably spend about $12 US. The machine would probably be better for stenciling than Crayola.

I used to wear glitter ones that stayed for a week. I don't remember what they were called but they were a stencil that you stuck on and then smear glue onto the stencil and pat the special glitter mixture on. They were fun

Our son got this a couple of years ago and we where disappointed in it too. The ink bleed even though we made sure the stencil was on tight to the skin and they looked like blobs of colour in the end. His markers work but now her just does them on paper.

I love the Cash or Trash videos!! I have used temporary Henna tattoos. And that like girl covered in tattoos is exactly what a child would do, plaster them all over themselves, LoL 😂😆 and Jackie too of course 😆😂 I'm thinking the felt tips on the markers aren't far enough out Jackie, use a Tide stain stick on your desk, it's what I do.

They're not as soft as skechers are - but the insoles are removable, so you can replace them with whatever you prefer (such as orthotics) - the water-repelling effect is only temporary tho. They remain waterproof as long as there's no holes, but you do have to "restore" the repelling coat every now and then. Jason Markk sells an amazing spray for that (Repel) - if you wanna keep that magical effect :D I love my pairs, just wish the people who review them would consider long-term experiences too

So I think that if you look at the marker tips that work there like longer in the ones that don’t work or like shorter so I think that’s the problem the tip of the marker need to be longer for it to work❤😅

Is there a way to take the cap off the back of the pen? I'm wondering if the filter inside is fiber that you could add some drops of water too... 🤔 A shea butter-based cleanser might be better at getting the ink off. 😊

Try alcohol / desinfectant to get it off your skin. I used to dye my hair at home with temporary hair dye and fixed any mishaps on my skin with sagrotan spray and a tissue.

Honestly, I truly had so little hope from the beginning of this little adventure! Ack! Just how salty and cynical have I become?! But, after watching how the tiny machine works, I had a thought: Would the markers in a Blow Pen set work just as well in that thing? I kind of feel like the results we saw while testing the markers gave more or less the same effect...
