Oh how I love all the snow, I'm happy not to be shoveling it, but it is so beautiful, thank you for sharing it here with us. Happy Valentine's Day to you and your beautiful family. We went out for a nice breakfast today, then off to the market for some things to make for dinner, tonight will be Manicotti with Italian Sausage sauce, salad and garlic break. Its hard to make a meal plan because we are both not big eaters anymore and I am a creature of cravings, so it all depends on what we are feeling like at the moment. I made a yummy taco soup the other day and it fed us for two meals. Your grocery haul looked good, you got some great deals. Thanks for sharing your shopping trip with us. Taco soup sounds delicious. I haven't made that in a long time. I try to plan meals, but most times I just decide in the morning what I'll make that day. Or have an idea of meals in my head for the week. The kids had another day off school today which was nice. They'll do their Valentine's activities tomorrow instead. Happy Valentine's day. You’re so right about the Valentines! I could only find anything Trolls related at Walmart and had to get two boxes. I like the Yum Earth brand for candies (my daughter has a gluten free & dairy free classmate)… they were already pricey but of course they come in packs of 15 😝 Love the Barbie ones you found for Audrey! I also love those salads! Can’t believe the snow on the roads! What a beautiful sight!

The Valentine's always came in packs of 24. I found it frustrating, especially for something you know is going in the garbage. If you're buying them for multiple kids, it adds up, but the kids enjoy doing them. School has been cancelled the last two days here so the kids are celebrating Valentine's day today. Those salads are so good. I like stocking up when they're on sale. I've never heard of Yum Earth candy, I'm not sure if they sell them here or not (I'm guessing not). Thoughtful of of you to consider different diets. We just have peanut allergies in ours. Have a great day! ❤️

Great to see your grocery haul! We lived in Nova Scotia 20 years ago when White Juan happened. That was an experience! We have lived in Ontario for 19 years now, I do miss Nova Scotia.

They still have 24 count Valentines here but they are just the cards. The ones with fun stuff are 12-16. They know how to get ya. Since my son is homeschooled, I don’t have to buy them but I still bought a pack with a couple cute valentines trinkets. They are trying to pass a plastic bag ban here as well. They made them thicker in hopes people would recycle but it’s not working. We have to purchase plastic bags for 10 cents each but most still throw them away. We bring our own because we know the day of no plastic is coming. Great haul again. I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine’s Day.

Hi Meredith, I didn't see any packages with just the cards, but was happy to find some in the dollar store. I'm sure your kids will enjoy the cards and trinkets. Our kids didn't have school today due to a storm, so they'll take their cards/treats in tomorrow. They started charging for plastic bags in the beginning here too. Now you can pay for paper bags, but we just bring our own reusable ones. Still tons of plastic waste, as SO many things come packaged in plastic! Lol Happy Valentine's day! ❤️

@@mominthemaritimesyes, plastic everywhere. Disneyland has stopped using almost all plastic so we bring our reusable straws and cups when we go because cups with paper straws and no lids do not do well while walking around 🤣🤣🤣🤣 cool, Valentine’s Day at home. I love seeing all your snow :)

It’s beautiful to look at but I’m glad I don’t live somewhere that gets that much snow! We haven’t had more than a dusting all winter so far…but we did have a really cold snap back in January. Temps in the negatives which very seldom happens here.

It is alot to deal with, Brandie. We bought a snowblower last year, so thsts certainly getting a workout this winter! The kids are on day two of no school this week. We get the odd mild day, but it's normally pretty chilly.

I tried the dill pickle salad for the first time recently. It was delicious! I was worried the dressing would be too salty or acidic but it wasn't at all.

Hope the kids got to school today for Valentine's Day, I know you were supposed to get some more snow last night and into today. We didn't get anything here yet but perhaps tonight around 5 cm. I find your grocery prices are quite similar to PEI, maybe a bit cheaper here for some things. Island life eh?

Hi Kerry, the kids didn't have school on Valentine's day (or the following day) it's been quite with month! Lol I'm finding groceries so expensive, I try hard to mostly shop the flyers.

I hope at Superstore quite a bit too. I have their mastercard and collect so many points with it. I find it helps alot. Our kids have another snow day today! 😊
