Any updates on the fleet? :) It's been a while since the last video, I hope everything is going well. Just watched another E24 restoration and your project came to mind.
Awesome video! BIG Thanks! QUESTION: I noticed that your 2.0ltr aluminum part of the intake manifold (the one that bolts on to the head, before the plastic part) has no 'swirl flaps'. How come?
Great Video, This may be a stupid question but I am pretty new on this, can I use a 2.5 engine that came from an automatic car donor if my mx5 is manual or it does not matter? I was thinking about doing the same swap, but most of the good car donors I find are auto.
I’ll bet the spark plug coming apart had more to do with detonation than anything else, you probably had a vacuum leak near that cylinders intake port.
@@lavachemist no worries we are all good, was just a crazy year of non-car things that took me away from this for a while. I’ve had part 2 80% edited for a good while and just haven’t finished it up but I will soon!
You two, Yeah BOTH of you, Have you no shame or just like to taunt? Is this a little game you like to play? Not one mention of the E24 , yet there it is........ Right There in multiple shots. JK, thanks for the Vid
@@daledavies2334 this one is from a Ford. Even though they are nearly identical, the Ford motors are cheaper than the Mazdas by a pretty significant amount.
I do not see any links to anything by "Armand" (if that's how you spell it) but, my computer has the Google, so I found a bunch of stuff. so, thanks for giving me the name at least.
Not talking about interface i mean the timing relying solely on a diamond friction disc to stay in place thats why they have a one piece parts to replace it
