So I was just .71 over, and that's only because I counted the e.l.f. face brush as one dollar when I budgeted because that is what I purchased mine for last year. They have upped their price on that, which I didn't realize until I was writing this description! So boo to e.l.f. since the whole point of their essential line is that everything is... a dollar. Woof.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but years ago I was OBSESSED with blairs channel and just couldn't connect with your channel....but as the years have passed its totally switched and I am so addicted to all your videos! And now blairs channel just kinda feels like it's lacking and just mediocre. I just find it funny how you grow older your taste changes lol.

This is so true. Several drugstore products are so close to their higher end counterparts that it's like why not just spend a couple dollars more for the higher end one (imo a good example are MAC lip products. Several drugstore ones are about $10 and I think MAC is either $14 or $15)

sophdoesnails It's the same as tough as taupe here in the us, right? If so, it's amazing as a contour, too. It's very gray-toned and works well to add a bit of shadow to the face. Just be careful with it because if you mess up it's a b*tch to remove. You basically have to start over with your face makeup. I start out with a light hand (I use the elf small stipple brush) and build the color up to get the desired effect. I've never tried it on my brows, though. I'll have to give that a go next. "Blonde" is really warm-toned. Taupe works for cooler toned skin. But ai agree, the NYX one is great!

The Anastasia Brow Wiz is my HG, but I was on the hunt for something more cost effective. BEST brow pencil at the drugstore is Almay, but it only comes in two colors. The formula is on par with the Brow Wiz but the packaging is the same as MAC's pencil (flat top and it's not retractable). A bonus is it comes with a spoolie that is actually useful. Definitely worth trying.

These types of videos are great, but I feel like Elle only does one type of look. Light pink lips, champagne shimmery color on the lid and medium tone brown in the crease. Give or take some eyeliner. Elle, I would love to see some variety from you!

The elf brush you used is great for getting a smoky eyeliner look with a darker eyeshadow color. No matter what high end brushes I get, I always reach for that one to smudge some shadow along the lash line :)

I loved all your product choices in this video! I know that these budget videos can be quite difficult to do, and I enjoyed how honest you are with it. I've watched other people's $20 makeup challenges where they chose very 'cheap items' just to focus on making it under the budget, then bashing on how awful the product was while applying them... Revlon has a great brow duo set that comes with a pencil and a gel! I used up all of the gel and I still have the pencil, so I just bought a clear brow mascara to use when I ran out :)

I really like the NYX tinted brow mascara. I have a review on my blog if you want to see it in action. If you only need to fill in and not shape then it rocks but if you have a lot of shaping to do then it isn't worth it. I think it might be around $6.

I like the Miliani eyebrow kit. It comes with mini tweezers, a brow brush, brow shade and highlight shade. I'm still learning to do brows so I mostly just fill in the sparse areas.

I love the elf duo eyebrow kit. It comes with a colored wax and a powder. I usually only use the wax, honestly. Recently they changed the mini brush which kinda sucks now, but its usable in a pinch.

The revlon brow fantasy is a great drugstore eyebrow product that is double sided- one side has a pencil that you can sharpen and the other has a gel. I love the pernicious because it is on the waxier side which helps them stay in place better. Hope u try them out!!! ❤️❤️

I have the same eyebrow recommendation as a lot of people-the ELF eyebrow duo! I don't stress my already-thick brows too much and really only do them when I'm going out on a date or to a wedding, etc., so it's a cheap and easy way to get a little more definition. I like the wax side better than the powder too; the powder is fairly loose and messy, but the wax keeps my brows in shape. The brush it comes with is small, but good for detail.

Lol that ending! For eyebrows, I like NYX eyebrow kit, it has 2 shadows a brush a spoolie and a gel, it was really inexpensive compares to other things which don't include enough colour options, or a brush or a gel.

I work at Sephora and I LOVE the NYX brow gel in brunette. It is basically the Anastasia Dipbrow, but easier to use. It keeps my hair in place all day. I can get either a sculpted or natural look bc the squeeze tube is easy to use and a little goes a long way. I just use a lid from an old B&BW candle as a palette every day and pick up the product with the Anastasia #12 brush. It really is fantastic! And cheap :)

Rimmel does really nice eyebrow pencils, and they come with a little brush on the lid. Good drugstore buy!

Nyx has some good eye brow kits with 2 colors and a wax. I've never been one to do much with my brows since I'm lucky the have a nice natural shape but to fill in that one is great.
