I you'd like to visit surabaya again, you may try to stay in kencana residence surabaya, it is behind a mall, nearby the downtown. Its price is affordable You can find it in travelok app I like to do a staycation at that place, sometimes
Omg those tests were so cheap! And I've never seen that system of blowing into the bag before. They are way better! Here in London, if we want to travel, we have to buy a test that cost between £150-200! Ridiculous! 😓 And 4 forms of ID?? That's insane! I don't think I have more than 3 haha! The reason for the bike rental asking for so many forms of ID is probably because taking a vehicle out of Surabaya to the rest of Java is a lot easier than it is from Bali. So they might just be mitigating the risks of vehicle theft... Surabayans please correct me if I'm wrong ✌🏻
I stayed there 5 years ago. i paid more than 5 USD. it's pretty clean and very convenient. Within walking distance to Gubeng Station and also shopping mall.
Hi bro,, Di Surabaya memang jarang ada sewa motor jadi emang susah mau cari, hampir gak ada sewa motor, dan kalau mau cari hotel sebenarnya ada semalam 150 ribu, tapi di pinggir kota, kadang ada promo hotel di tengah kota seharga itu, check aja di sekitaran TP( Tunjungan plaza) , biasa nya rate harga di midle of city average @ nite 350k rupiah, saya di surabaya ni untuk beberapa hari saat lebaran cukup sepi enak kalo jalan jalan to expole gak macet, cuman lebih banyak tempat tutup kalo lebaran. House Sampoerna travel city try it. Enjoy this city bro, hope can see u, and take care 👍

This is the place I've been looking at staying in when I come to Surabaya! I worked it out to be $150 NZD for a month which is crazy! I stayed in capsules like this in Japan and actually loved it

A small correction. The travel restriction isn't because of Ramadan, but to reduce the number of Covid cases as people tend to travel to their hometowns at the end of Ramadan to celebrate Eid Al Fitr with their families.
Hey Alex, Great video and so nice to see you made it to Surabaya. I traveled there a few times cus my self in 19 and 20. I am excited to see if you go to any of the places I have been to and see the things again. I am probably not going there any time soon since my ex lived there haha, but I am looking forward to seeing your videos. The tourist attractions i was at was not too good compared to other cities, but the cigarette factory was actually quite nice even though I don't smoke. There are a lot of eating options there and If I can recommend a local place it should be ''Nasi Goren Jagad 25''. A big portion is only like 25K and it takes really good. Just keep in mind the MSG smoke can be a bit thick, so just see if you can sit a bit away from the cooking station but it is really good! I have a lot of recommendations. Have a good trip there!
Actually there is also a roller coaster in mall in Bali, in Trans Studio Bali (indoor theme park). I hope u visit and make a content about it.. Cheers!
If u are sunrise hunter, 1st place i recom is bromo mountain fore sure bro. Definitely the best sunrise spot in east java, even in this country (easy to access and hotel). Sorry for my bad english 🙏

Not interstate travel, no crossing inter district as well. People are really getting tired of all the BS (pardon my French), haha 😅. That aside, ENJOY your time there ! Hope you two slept well. I live in surabaya and thats the best $3 hostel in the city center for sure. But you can get a 3 star hotel for just $10 like pop hotel or cleo hotel, Not many people stay at hotel since pandemic and the price drops.
Why would you even think about staying in a $3 capsule hotel? Surabaya has lots of great hotels. Next time check out the Mahajapit Hotel in Surabaya - a great old colonial hotel in downtown Surabaya with a great vibe.
All new Transmarts have a Kid's Fun Park on the 3rd level, and they include a small rollercoaster. We live near one in South Jakarta just like that one. Great video! Cheers!

They would be almost exclusively dealing with Indonesians - so you cop it too. We have had so many motorbikes stollen in our neighbourhood here in Surabaya, including from our front yard.

I've ever booked this one and ended up couldn't sleep all the night. Too noisy. Since that time, i never try to book a capsule hotel anymore. Better to pay higher and sleep peacefully rather than bacoming a zombie all the night. Furthermore, there are some cheap hotels near to this place that you can own a room by your own. Btw, for the motor rental, it's not as easy as you can find in bali. As you know, surabaya is a small part of java. While in this island, the case of motorcycle stealing is quite high. That's why it's quite difficult to find one. Even you can find it, they will charge you more and give you a lot of terms and conditions just to make sure that their motorcycle is safe being with you
Nope, cleanliness is important, I’m sure there are other ‘not expensive’ hotels that are well-maintained and much cleaner than that one. Keep in mind, if the owner doesn’t really care about that big moldy area on the ceiling, do you think he/she would really care about the safety of the hotel guests?
I'd prefer choose the smallest hotel in Jakarta that you've just visited and reviewed before around 2 months ago😂 if I had small budget between $5 to $10/night🤣 I mean it's more comfortable to have a room by myself😶
Mending booking hotel bintang 4 sekalian dapat sarapan, 2 x $3 = $6 harganya segituan bahkan lbh murah , bisa pesen satu kamar pilih yg twin bed . Di Surbaya ga boleh masuk Grab n Gojek , kalo masih nantangin bakal dihajar malahan dikempesin mobilnya gw pernah ampe harus keluar bandara dlu dan pernah jalan sampe mesjid masih aja ada mata2 yg ngikutin sampe nanya2 mau kmna dan dia tau gw lg pesen ojol

First of all.. No, i would not. But depend, if its only for a day like a i need to continue traveling somewehre else, this is an ok option, but.. If you actually want to staybfor a week a for a room with a wifi, sitting closet/toilet, shower and AC, try using Mamikos apps. U can find places to live for a week better for u rather than in a hotel but again this is just a suggestion for more cheap and efficient option. Or just find another hotel/ accomodation with probably around 8-9 $ prices. This capsule hotel is not for staying long so if you are there for a day and continue traveling sure, if not, I do not recommend u to stay there.
Untuk momen2 saat ini dibatasi 1 jam mbak tiap pengunjung,, karcis parkir dikasih jam yg mana kita sudah harus keluar,, jika melewati batas punishmentnya bakal di swab.. Jadi kurang rekomended kalo mau kuliner dsana, bikin konten & makan cepet2 malah keselek mbak😁

The capsule hotel is quite an interesting go to hotel. Talking about most affordable place to stay in Surabaya, I think a guests house is a good one too. Also, for the bike rental, why don't you try migo? I heard it's also a fun and affordable choice of some sort
Back in 1998 I stayed in a $1 a night hotel in Bangkok, I couldnt believe it, $1, until I saw the room. I swear it looked like a murder was committed in the room, 20 minutes before I arrived. Then I got eaten by bed bugs. After that I swore to work harder in my life and try to do better!!
Travel never look not glamorous or whatever the antonym of glamorous is. Not lovin how people need to use apps as if everyone has to own a smart phone. But we got to see what its like... If No pandemic, this hotel is so cool.
Idk if there's a capsule hotel on surabaya but I recommend you to have a proper hotel like swissbell which is not so expensive and the location of the hotel is pretty close to some of the biggest mall in surabaya
Holy shit I slept in the exact capsule hotel you sleep in 😂 I'm Jakartan and I study in Surabaya. I hate exploring Surabaya tho. Despite being the 2nd largest city in Indonesia, the public transport is so bad it forces me to go with gojek everywhere which is expensive.

Motorbike rental asking you many identifications, because of theft cases that often happened. So the rental makes you think twice if you wanna steal their scooter, because you hand almost all your important document to them
