Audiophile? Well, I did have a set of Polks and an Onkyo amp from way back. Its my budget that's a concern right now and you specifically addressed that reality making your review perspective spot on. This is a realistic approach to desktop speakers on a budget for those who appreciate sound fidelity. You've gained another subscriber.
Back in my teens when I was working with car audio, remember hearing Polk Audio car woofers, great sound but I was more a RFosgate fan myself. Onkyo AVRs are quality. We actually tried to get REW working but... have cardioid but not the omni mic we want for testing and ran out of time. Maybe can get by with an AT-2035 if we position it well... what do you think? REW has a recommended omni mic and if we do more speaker reviews, might invest $100++ on that...
@@Techspin I bought my CRS plus Polks with a known problem with the crossover. Polk was open to sending me a new cabinet if I swapped out the rest myself. I thought that was awesome. So I essentially got the set for $300 US. Personally I'm a fan of Sennheiser mics but don't do studio work so my thoughts would be general. I'm an event technology director and use Shure for the majority of our shows because that is what my company purchased in bulk. Given the chance, I switch to Sen. AT2035 is cleaner than the 2020 so that's a good choice if you like the AT series sound over AKG at that price point. I would use an Omni for the tests with REW so you get an accurate waterfall. But it would be great to see the SPL overlays when you test new speakers since RU-vid compression kills any minute differences anyway. Thanks for the response!
Affordable speakers for the masses, audiophiles and gamers will want more but realistically they don’t represent the average user and I’m sure these will sell like hot cakes in the festive season.
Agreed, myself I won't use them unless in a meeting, but the gf will love 'em, especially since she won't be kicking a sub with her foot 😉 Cheers for the comment! Love the nickname by the way, that movie is underrated hehe. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!

I miss the old Creative line up. I'm STILL using the I-Trigue 3300 2.1 set and i think they're a decade old at least, still a clean crisp sound and it Thumps! The volume control is a bit crackly now. I think Creative should re-release some of their past avant garde designs.
Hi Techspin, this is my first time on your channel. I like it! I suspect that like me, you're Canadian--but you should give measurements in inches as well as cm and mm because our American friends to the south don't know the metric system and if you tell them something is 80mm they can't visualize it just like we can't visualize 100 yards because we don't use yards. Biggest English speaking RU-vid audience is in the USA. Cheers.
Great feedback. Usually try to throw up imperial measurements as graphics but may have missed them this time. Will try to include more imperial in the future. Please subscribe!
Awesome video, looking for something little bit better for my PC, something small, around 50-100 bucks. Bose Companion 2 series III looks decent, people also recommended Edifier r1280t, but they're too big. Thank you
If you're looking $100 range, then those Bose might just be a good pick, though Bose usually charges more for name brand. Because you're looking in two ranges up from the Pebble price, I'd guess you care about audio- you won't get amazing sound out of cheap or small speakers. If you can, load up some music and visit a retail store to get a really good idea of the sound fidelity. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
I'm still impressed with the sound and quality out of these little speakers, though I'm still looking for a good under $100 dollar sound system. My colleague got Logitech z407's and they sound great, so may check those out soon...
Thanks, we try to keep improving our testing and writing so we can deliver. Much appreciated! Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!

Surrounds don't necessarily need to have amazing bass per se, so these could certainly work. With great audio comes great investment-bility though. Your audio will sound as good as the money you put into it. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
The USB power cable doesn't need to be attached to the same laptop, but it does need power in the form of a charger or other powered device. Hope this helps. Please subscribe! 😊
Good suggestion, seems pretty similar though. Will look at it and see if we can make an episode of it. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Yeah man, I mean, we didn't have anything planned for this and all these are hand typed which takes away production time from new episodes. So we'll add it to the list and have a look and see if we decide on doing this video.
You can plug it into your phone if 1) your phone has a 3.5mm jack 2) you get an adapter like a USB-C or Lightning to 3.5mm. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
