Today i'm trying a full face of Japanese drugstore makeup! I picked up these products from Tommods in Tokyo, and i'm beyond happy with my finds! Especially the brands "Canmake Tokyo" and "Kate Tokyo".

When I was in London I sat on the tube and as my partner sat there drifting off to sleep I watched a girl as she expertly applied winged eyeliner with a pen on the tube.. On the tube! Some girls got some mad skills.

Ngl I'm one of those people. I've had a few people come up to me on the subway/train about it before lol. It's just something I feel like you get a groove for from doing it all the time because my hands are generally really shaky but I can wing out eyeliner no problem on public transit

Fun fact, the canmake secret beauty powder that Alex buy is actually safe even if you wear it while sleeping, it can be used if after applying skincare your face is too sticky so that your face will not feel sticky while sleeping

I always thought that Asian foundation would be super pale because at every picture it's looked super light but every cushion foundation I've got is way to dark. Well I found one brand or product that isn't to dark and fits kinda good I guess, but I never thought i would be that pale. It's the same problem with the it cosmetics foundation. I thought it was to light but my fenty beauty one that fits me perfect is way lighter. Now I do understand the people when they ask me sometimes if I feel sick because of my look xD

Amu-chan I think you’re thinking of Korean foundations cause their foundations are jefree star pale. This is Japanese make up and they like it a bit more tanner than Korean makeup so technically it’s still pale it’s just the undertone is more yellow base as opposed to Korean make up where every freaking foundation is pink based. Which is hilarious cause most Asians have a yellow undertone.

It’s because Japanese are not the whiteness that white people has. I’m guessing it’s because we tend to be more yellow even when someone is very pale.

Most stores have testers, but they either get damaged or stolen. The companies only give so many testers out. At least that was how it was when I was a Cosmetician........

I’m Japanese. Thank you for introducing Japanese cosmetics. CEZANNE highlighter is so famous in Japan and it is always sold out in drug stores. If you come to Japan again, please try highend makeup products. I recommend Shu Uemura, Lunasol, SUQQU, Cle de peau beaute ...etc. Please come to Japan again!

かなたろう肌が白い方、というよりピンクみや赤みの肌の方がつけると浮くんだと思います。肌が白い方でも黄み肌の方もいますし、肌の色が暗くても、赤みの方で日本のコスメが合わない方もいます。

I’m probably late but the drug store brand you know is different in Japan too. Not everything will be drastically different but they sell the makeup similar to what’s popular in Japan. I’ve seen a few videos where people tried them out.

oh no Alex don't trim your lashes from the inner corner. It ruins the natural fade. trim the outer corners so they keep looking a bit more natural.

The best redhead eyebrow products I have ever gotten have been Japanese and Korean. Also black/grey. I think they understand how to balance the depth of colour for dark hair and pale skin tones so much more than North American brands.

For next time, I believe both Integrate and Kate Tokyo have a very light shade (00) that might match you better. It also has cool undertones. I hope you can check it out.

Your natural skin is so beautiful and I love your freckles! I don't think you even need foundation/face makeup most of the time. I am also very pale and struggle finding foundation that wont weigh my skin down and make me look orange or whatever. I would think that Japanese drug stores would have more pale skin options, because the media tells us they all want to be pale too...so the fact that you weren't able to find many pale options is surprising!

the Snow Beauty powder is skincare+ makeup. You can use it to seal in your skincare at night and you don't have to wash it off. Just like Yuagari Suppin Powder!! They have a nice finish and it's good for your skin!!
