Bud, your a star !!! Your learning so many different aspects by sheer effort - spraying, engines, trailers, and your artistic elements are first class. I guarantee in 12 months you will be rebuilding engines saving yourself a whole lotta money AND enjoying it. Keep it up, ignore the morons by not reading or responding in ANY way. Mistakes are the most important part of engineering so keep on trying, you WILL get there in no time at all. Rebuild your first engine from bottom up and you will be flying and not buying. As an old fart its grand to watch a young guy getting going. HUGE thumbs up.

You've turned trash into awesomeness! Id buy one of these again! And dont let the keyboard know it alls take you down! If they could, they would instead of trying to bring someone down! It’s not easy to make these old skis work, it’s definitely a learning curve. Bravo to you for having the courage to put it all out there, mistakes and all. Too often this is edited out, so when the reality of mistakes happens it is more devastating because you start to believe everything you see on tv. I can tell you from experience some of the best lessons I ever learned were from mistakes I made. The only thing that will make a difference is how you choose to deal with it. Keep up the good work, thanks for the vinyl wrap idea I’ve been looking for a cheaper way to do my 6 skis. Keep the videos coming and never give up!

I'm 61 years old and recently started my first build and RU-vid channel and literally the most emotionally draining aspect is some of the nasty, negative, mean comments that I receive. Thankfully they are a tiny percentage of the wonderful, encouraging and uplifting comments, that make it all worthwhile. Part of our learning curve is learning how to dismiss the negative energy and absorb the positive. You're doing a wonder job learning about all of your builds along the way. I have mad respect for your enthusiasm, mechanical inclination and willingness to share the WHOLE experience!!! BTW, I'm not terribly far from you down in Largo, near Clearwater! 🤗

Please don't worry about the criticism. I guarantee most of the people making said comments couldn't do a fraction of the things you're capable of doing. They're just sitting behind their screen and like to be negative. The skis look fantastic. Your creativity is amazing. Keep it up. Find a 96 XP. It has the same body only with the 110hp motor. You'll love the thing.

If u get another ski get a bilge pump which will pump the water out of ur ski until u can get it back to shore. I just got one for $30 off Amazon, glad ur neighbor was able to help so u didn’t lose the skis. Trailer looks amazing! Now is the best time to sell before the 4th & while market is hot. 3k is a fair price considering it comes w a nice double trailer and one ski that runs.

keep up the good work. skis look amazing. also I personally would not mount the bilge sideways like that. stand it straight up and use silicon or a bracket to hold it in place so you dont burn up your pump. The plate on bottom of the new nozzle is a ride plate extension. It helps to keep the nose of the ski down when riding (Porposing) so your not jumping like a dolphin when your just trying to cruise. also as far as selling them post them for 4-5k. with the condition they are in plus the double trailer you will get it. everyone wants jetskis right now. i just sold two 1990 model sps with a double trailer for 3k no problem

Weren't the prettiest skis but did put out over 55mph all day. They were amazing jetskis but in the 3 years I had them I literally only used them 4 times. I wish I hadn't but back then I was just starting college and had no time to do anything. They'd probably sell for twice that nowadays.

I have a 1998 yamaha xl1200 only has 56 hours on it. I got it for free. I had to do alot when I first got it to make it run from sitting for 20 years behind my uncle's house. I ended up tightening the exhaust clamp to tight and it came loose and I didn't know and went for a ride parked it. went in to eat at McDonald's right off the lake and when I came back half of it was under water. good thing I didn't try to start because the whole engine was full of water. It's a 2 stroke to but I had to take it all back apart and flip it on its side turn over the engine without the spark plugs so it get all the water out. So ur not the only one who makes mistakes it's apart of learning and in life in general..
